December 22, 20205 yr Tracking is irrelevant to me personally as long it knows where my head is. I have a Reverb G2. Very narrow FOV is my biggest bugbear and the piddly sweet spot. Focus falls off near instantly from the centre of the lens. However I do have one of the largest heads in the world. It's true what they say about its resolution. It's very good. It's definitely not the final word for me and I'll replace it as soon as something better comes along. If I was after VR as a whole and didn't mind Facebook, and I certainly do so I'll never buy it, the Quest 2 is more rounded. Edited December 22, 20205 yr by superspud
December 22, 20205 yr Does the Oculus Quest work with MSFS 2020? Thanks Bernd Bernd Jablonka I9 - 10900K, RTX 2080 ti, 2x 1tb SSD M2 NVMe, 3 tb SATA 3, 32gb DDR4, Asus Prime Z490-P Mainboard, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Bravo Throttle
December 22, 20205 yr Actually none at this point, this is not a mature technology yet, see what is available in 18-24 months. I have two VR headsets, both out in the garage in a box. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
December 22, 20205 yr What a shame, oh well gues this has to wait. Thanks Bernd Jablonka I9 - 10900K, RTX 2080 ti, 2x 1tb SSD M2 NVMe, 3 tb SATA 3, 32gb DDR4, Asus Prime Z490-P Mainboard, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Bravo Throttle
December 22, 20205 yr Which VR headset should I get? I'd love wide field of view, and it must also be available in Europe.
December 22, 20205 yr HP Reverb Is the best one in my option for flight simulation as it has the highest resolution and its needed to read cockpit gauges easily without having to lean forward to read the small gauges . I don't use the controllers for flight simulation, I much prefer the mouse. So the tracking issue is really a non issue. However, if you plan on using the HP Reverb for other types of VR games, then there are better HMD's with better tracking.
