December 23, 20205 yr Spawning with 'Clear Skies' preset and then switching to 'Live Weather' works for me every time. Above mentioned meteoblue map is the basis for snow cover. So far it works very good for me regarding snow. I think some roads (major) need to be 'cleared' a bit more in the sim, but that is fine tuning and I am sure that will come... Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

According to Meteoblue's data, there should be snow on the ground at Hibbing. Guess there are some kinks in the system. https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/webmap/beta/range-regional-airport_united-states-of-america_5021092#coords=11.17/47.3967/-92.8356&map=snowDepth~hourly~auto~sfc~none Maybe it's not showing snow under a certain height. I suggest submitting a bug report on Zendesk, show in sim screenshots compared to the Meteoblue data. Edit: i found a tiny bit of snow to the north west Thanks for the explanation! December 23, 20205 yr Author There’s a wish list thread if you want to go vote for clear runways etc https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/can-asobo-get-rid-of-the-snow-on-runways-taxiways-and-aprons/339131/6 I feel like this should be a QOL upgrade to an already implemented feature and not a wish list item that needs votes to be addressed but I digress... December 23, 20205 yr Didn't have snow at first after the update, restarted, now I have snow everywhere, even if meteoblue map says that it should be at 400+ meters of altitude, which I can also see by looking out the window. December 23, 20205 yr So, there was no snow on the ground until now? I'm asking cause I never flew while it was snowing. 🙂 Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

You could manually add snow, but it never appeared with live weather before now. Edited December 23, 20205 yr by Tuskin38
December 23, 20205 yr Loving it. Certain areas which had heavier snowfall show up as very covered. Otherwise more lightly and sporadic snow on the ground . Another great development which MSF has brought. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb
December 23, 20205 yr Hi, I am just flying KBOS-CYOW and and boston area and Manchester were all green, even if windy.com is indicating 10-15 cm snow. Is that true? Anyway I'm happy with the update. Petteri Petteri Pulkkinen EFNU, Finland
December 23, 20205 yr I've noticed at lower depths, it only seems to appear around roads or low lying areas, like pits or sand pits.

Anyway I'm happy with the update. Petteri I'm finding no snow in MA (I live west of Boston and I can confirm there's snow on the ground here!), and very little in VT/NH where there should be plenty. However, we're supposed to get heavy rain on Christmas so maybe MeteoBlue is just planning ahead for the melt off! December 23, 20205 yr Only had time for one flight so far but really happy with the implementation, especially the coastal ice. Sure it can be improved with some tweaks but the fact it’s real time is some next-level weather representation. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
