I'm the complete opposite. I can't be doing with posh interiors on aeroplanes, it makes me afraid to touch anything in case I leave a fingerprint on it lol. Gimme scuffed paint on the controls of something any day of the week, either in the real thing or a simulated version. 🤣

The only thing I really care about is a trustworthy mechanic. I was in a club for 5-6 years that was cheap. And the plane leaked oil and one of the struts was constantly stuck. Bought into a club that’s slightly more expensive. It is run very professionally, has two planes instead of 1, and they are mechanically immaculate. It all depends on what you value. I’ve seen clubs that have multiple twins and high performance retract singles (like Malibu’s). Kind of wild. But flying clubs are phenomenal in my opinion. No reason to own outright unless you don’t like having money in your bank account.

Club represents whole bunch of private owners who lease their  aircraft to the club. Club will give some money back after taking their fee, pay for insurance, parking  fee and so on. Owners are responsible for scheduled  maintenance and all unforeseen tear and wear. What they earn can’t simply how to the pocket as unforeseen damage/maintenance  may require significant expanses.

Club role is supervise renters, apply safety/insurance requirement, keep up with required maintainable in timely manner  and so on . But in the end it’s up to owner who decides how much money pay for maintains credit  or how much to charge for rent . For example If owner X charges too much, renters would pick more competitive options. So owner gotta stick with local “market”

Furthermore , if owner A is mechanic his  maintenance cost will be significantly less than say owner B who is not. Or   if owner C restored himself upholstery, club can’t turn around and say to owner D  to do the same . What  if owner D  could not afford to pay someone else or simply does’ t want to do it . He/she may simply leave to other club.

But club needs to retain as many owners as they can. Because variety or quantity of airplanes  that what draw more renters. Clubs who don’t to a good job simply perish ...

Now, I don’t want to go into “relatively” inexpensive because it really has broad meaning . Fir some people 100k may be relatively inexpensive for some 1k.

This post made me understand your point better. Looks like clubs over there are way different "organisations" than they are here. LOL

My only concern right now is how much? I bought the normal and turbo versions for P3D as well as the XP11 version.

I hope that they price this version fairly or I'll have to wait for it to go on sale.

I'm guessing the same as their other versions.  Hopefully not though.  A light piston single with stock avionics doesn't warrant a 40 dollar price tag, well not anymore in this sim, imo.  The Mooney should have been like 19.99.  But I guess we all bought it anyway.

I agree! That's another airplane that's a good example of more than one purchase. At the sale price it was a real bargain.

I'm inclined to think that if they don't want diminishing returns based on the previous way they went about modeling this aeroplane, they will have to err a bit low price-wise.

Anyone who was buying the FSX/P3D versions of this aeroplane will recall that we ended up with nearly every single variant of the P/A-28 from the Cherokee, to the Warrior, to the Arrow, the Archer, the T-Tail variants, the turbo variants and so on. I think the only ones they stopped short of having a crack at were a floatplane version and the Dakota variant. And as someone who bought them all, and bought the ones they knocked out for FSW too, it started getting expensive.

I nearly bought the turbo arrow.....but it had third party GPS integration....which we don't yet have in MSFS.  I think Carenado appropriately priced their Waco...  I'm guessing/hoping Carenado realized they were pricing their stuff too high based off sales of Seminole and Mooney and or C182...

I don't know what's fair for pricing.  I know it takes a long time to create a working addon from scratch...and some devs get all offended when users say "xyz is overpriced!"  But I think with the Marketplace, less is more.  A lower price should yield more sales...  I think the Mooney should have been 20 bucks.  It's basically a lite addon, with no fancy avionics.  That little Jabiru, actually does have some custom glass....so maybe 25 bucks.  And the PMDG if it ever comes... I'd pay 60 or so.  (I'm sure it will be 100).

Yay steam gauges! Although some of the cockpit textures look a bit previous generation, visually it doesn't seem up to the standard of the default aircraft although it's not bad. Trust there'll be an option of having the default GNS430/530.

They are easily the best looking textures available in MSFS.

A strange world we live in where the VC drawn textures - fake, cartoony cgi style- are wanted more then textures based on a real photo.

I’ve always thought the VC cockpits in MSFS are truly horrible. I’d get this add-on solely based on those cockpit textures. They look, fantastic.
And thank goodness it doesn’t have all the fancy gps and moving maps.
You might have to actually fly it!

Can you get rid of the tablet from showing?

I do not see a way to remove the tablet completely, but you can turn it off.

Also take note of the nicely done wear and tear on the floor.

Just flight mentioned somewhere that the tablet could removed

I spoke with one of the dev on youtube and that's what he said on the JF Piper Arrow price :

The pricing will mirror the current pricing from the other platforms with a discount for those who current owners.

You simply cannot compare a Carenado product with a Just Flight product.

The Just Flight products endure a protracted flight-test phase before they are launched. Just Flight is far, far more likely to address any issues found, and likely to do so in a speedy manner. I think this will be good. Very good.
