This is weird, Steam provided an update (as usual) but when I launch the sim I didn't get any kind of update however when the sim loaded I am running 1.13.17.0??

Fixed BGL backward compatibility issue with light rows

I'm hoping that this fixes that bug where there are blue airport edge lights all over the place at certain airports. Can someone please confirm?

Steam update downloaded and then gets stuck with a "missing file privileges" error. No way to launch MSFS. 😞

I've tried all the troubleshooting steps I can find online for that error. Nothing helps.

Well... I am not greasing the landings any more, so I suppose it is back to how it should be.

I can confirm that the blue taxiway lights all over the place have been fixed since I downloaded the hotfix

The update is on the host side only (Steam or the MS Store).  As you've observed, if you ALT-TAB you should see 1.13.17.0 in the title of the MSFS window.

I just saw that a hot fix is now available

A HOTFIX is now available.  Extract for MSFS forum

General

  • Fixed the flaps issue that was introduced in World Update 3
  • Fixed the photogrammetry for Southampton and Portsmouth

Developer mode

  • Fixed Scenery editor crashed when loading BGLs with Projected Meshes
  • Fixed BGL backward compatibility issue with light rows.

The update is done via the Store (Microsoft Store or Steam) without anything else to download.

My MSFS was crashing the PC while uploading (blue bar) ... and after the update I still have the same problem : immediate crash when loading.

So, they may have solved some problems but some remains ...

Am I the only one ?

Some report a 1GB update. Seems Steam installations got a much smaller one?

Note that there are several updates on Flightsim.to out already to accommodate this new update - for example the TBM930, DA62, DA40 and Longitude. If you use those mods, don’t forget to update all your modded aircraft, else they ‘won’t fly nice’.

Someone posted this in the forums, seems to be fixed indeed.

This seems to happen with every update. I think that with the Microsoft Store version, the entire onboarding client has to be downloaded from scratch, but with the Steam version, only the relevant files are updated.

Don't despair. The developer announced this after the hotfix.

"Now that the Aerodynamics Hotfix is out we will need to revert the fix we applied to the aircraft!
So, until I get chance to fully release an update (working on a few bugs) you can do a “self-fix” temporarily!
If you still have the V0.9.5 files hidden away somewhere you can do the following:
Get the V095 files, look for “Flight_model.cfg” copy that file and paste it into the V096 that’ll resolve any major issues I should imagine…whilst keeping the functionality of V096!
I will get V0.9.7 ready ASAP! "

If you don't have V0.9.5 .. get it here -  https://github.com/JPLogistics/MSFS_C152/releases/tag/V0.9.5

No you are not the only one. It takes at least 2 attempts before I can load into a flight, and then within about 30 minutes I am guaranteed a  CTD.

Robin

Installed Hotfix, everything normal. On a flight now into KSTL in my Mooney.
