We unfortunately haven't heard anything from MS in this regard. Hopefully, if the community expresses their support for this (especially on the MSFS forums), they will pay attention 🙂 - would love to work on improving the sim full-time, and we have a couple really talented folks with industry experience at FBW who wouldn't mind either.

Excellently news.  Those guys know what they're doing. 

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Now he will be bogged down and any updates/improvements will move at ASOBO pace, which we all know is slower than a sloth.

WT created a bulletproof Autopilot Navigation system from the ground up capable of using BingData or Navigraph. I imagine MS would pay a bunch for the copyright on that.

Navigraph needs to go public on the NYSE

My hunch was right 😉 This is awesome news...

I'm pleasantly surprised. The Working Title team has an enormous pool of skill, and I have confidence we will get a very good Garmin implementation in the future. Congratulations to the team and thank you for the hundreds of hours you've collectively spent making this sim better.

Glass half empty: Development on the CJ4 mod will discontinue. All development work will be folded into Asobo's general development road map. 

Totally agree. Fantastic news and so well deserved. Can’t wait to see what they do now. They really transformed our experience of MSFS and took it to the next level...

Long story short, Working Title is becoming Working Title Simulations LLC.   The core founders are all leaving our jobs to work full time on the sim.  Questions about the future of the mods, what this means for contributors, and such are addressed to the best of our ability in that FAQ.

Scary, exciting, thrilling...   There's some great stuff to come, I feel like.

I'm also happy just to be able to talk about it openly now.  (Within the bounds of our contract, of course.)    It was a lot of fun reading the SU3 thread here yesterday and last night and seeing all the people saying MS should just hire us, knowing what we knew.  😂

Renewed hopes for a working FS 🤞

It's always great when you can turn something you are passionate about into a full time job.

I'm sure this is likely to bear great fruit in the area of the stock Garmins in the sim.

However I am personally very concerned that given MSes consistent re-statement that they don't want to compete with 3DP aircraft developers and create study level aircraft, this will mean the end of the CJ4, integrating Navigraph charts when NavBlue is the official provider for MSFS, etc.

So I guess I'm in the excited and scared at the same time category as well.

We will have to wait and see if Microsoft is a good steward of the capabilities they are getting here.  

Totally understand that WT folks likely can't respond to this beyond the pre-approved FAQ at this point...best of luck with the new arrangement to all involved.
