One of my around the world flight legs I have been flying in the Bonanza, I neglected to check fuel for at takeoff and only had 50%.  Realized it not too long after takeoff, did some math and it seemed like I could get to my destination, so I opted to press on.

Along the way I ran into some winds which significantly slowed my forward progress.

Landed with like 30 min of fuel left, at a grass airstrip, in fog down to around 200ft, using an "approach" defined in LittleNavMap....  Couldn't go to any alternate due to lack of fuel.  I was very glad that I has practiced flying the Bonanza 'by the numbers' to get a 500fpm descent in approach configuration, so I could focus on looking for the runway through the fog.

Always check!

Looking forward to trying out v 0.3 of the Arrow, Just Flight is really pumping out the updates with a level of responsiveness beyond almost any other aircraft 3DP!

I subscribed to Flying Magazine for about 25 years starting in the mid-70's...I wish I had a dollar for every "Aftermath" article about pilots who had a habit of intentionally loading ONLY the absolute minimum fuel "needed" for a trip, and how many ended up killing themself crashing off-field - fuel starvation, loss off control, crash into terrain. When I started flying IRL I thought about those articles before EVERY flight.

I used to subscribe to a news letter back in the day, I think it was called Aviation Safety. It was just about crashes and how to avoid them. I always topped off tanks when I flew somewhere.

Has anyone noticed a kind of vibration in the Arrow after the last update. When I look out the pilots side window at the scenery, it seems like it has a slight "shake" to it. External view, everything looks normal.

I have noticed this from day one.  It quivers about a little.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Yeah, looks like an out of balance prop. You can really see if you zoom at the outside looking over the cowling.

The chrono timer is not totaly fixed. If you turn the chrono on and then switch back to the clock the chrono stop. I suppose it is not like that in the real aircraft or if it is it's a strange behaviour.

Hope they'll fix it sometime.

The opposite can happen.  I have friends who ran off the end of a runway in the Papua New Guinea highlands (luckily no trees or sudden drops so no major damage) because they topped up for an early morning flight but were delayed several hours and the OAT and hence density altitude had gone up substantially compared to when they calculated their original load.

My Saitek switch panel is still acting wonky, turn landing lights on and beacon turns off, raise landing gear and lights turn off, I was hoping that would be fixed. Major thing for me though is about 10 minutes after I take off I'm getting a crash to desktop. I use vr. I haven't been able to test it much but I'm not having issues with my new CRJ-500, which is a way more in depth plane(obviously). Still a bit twitchy. jerky for me.

Question on the Clean Cockpit folder and effect on the Cockpit. I copied the clean cockpit folder contents and overwrote the ones in the default folder. I still see a pretty rough looking panel scratches  around the radio stack, and some scratch type marks in the comers of the windscreen and the pilots yoke is pretty worn. Are these blemishes supposed to be fixed by the Clean Cockpit textures?

It's a cleaner cockpit but not totally clean. For that, there's a mod at https://flightsim.to/file/9991/piper-pa28r-arrow-iii-justflight-clean-interior

You can use the mod after applying the JF clean textures without any problems. I know the JF clean textures also cleans up the windshield where the mod didn't.

I made a post about just this thing on the JF forums and people chime in with the constant "just use Spad" jabber. The Logitech/Saitek panels are some of the most common things added to flight simming after yoke/pedal/throttle/rudders. This doesn't bode well for future aircraft purchases if the only way to get the panels (Switch, Multi, Radio) to work is to use Spad and program every single fucntion for every single plane instead of just using the drivers made for them,. Also, if you use Spad then you are committed to it as you have to remove the logitech drivers (you can not run the drivers and spad at the same time).

You may want to keep this in mind if you're considering purchasing the JF Arrow and you use the Logitec/Saitek panels.

I took a flight at dawn the other day and when I looked out the side windows I saw that they were full of hand and fingerprints, it was pretty cool.

Other addon aircraft are running into similar issues with controls.

This seems like something that "the platform" ie MS/Asobo should have addressed.

Finally got to fly 0.3. Absolutely stunning! Feels very close to real thing. Really enjoy it so far. Thumbs up.

Follow old wisdom power, pitch, trim . I know trimming in sim not the same as IRL but still can be done with reasonable proximity . Trim (elevator trim in our case), let go of your joystick and make sure airplane keep desired pitch by itself! That is what we call "trim for airspeed"

With real weather, this aircraft is very twitchy.

The plane instantly pitches up and down and doesn't seem to 'bounce' naturally. The changes are instant.

Also, on take off roll, just before rotation, I have sudden yaw to the left which is really hard to control. Something isn't right.

I use CH Pro pedals and yoke and have set them according to JF recommendations. I have my sim set to Modern flight model.

Same settings work well with the WT CJ4 and Rob Youngs G36.

I think there is an issue with version 0.3 flight model.

I have only just bought it, so I can't compare to earlier versions pre and post sim patch to 1.4.16.

Anyone else seeing this behaviour?

No I don't have any issues. Did you have left crosswind  by any chance? That could explain left yaw
