Not a deal breaker but Cmon...

We all know ASOBO has much fish to fry, and I applaud them for a great response to the community, but I at least figured that when this ground breaking sim came out in 2020, they should have known we have not been positioning and holding since 2010. I get all the frustration with the ATC and I dont see it on the short list any time soon... but Cmon  at least understand the entire world "lines up and waits" at least if your not going to stop the continue as planned, which I as a real pilot have NEVER HEARD, please get this error fixed. Pilot2Atc is a great option.

You know, I read this and I have to also respond.  I try to place myself into the role of the programmer, and one day your boss walks up to you and says 'your part of the ATC team, start with a list of ATC commands'.  Now one would think that you can make one phone call to any FBO, ATC center, local pilots association, ect... ect... literally one phone call.

But no, you do something else and who knows what that even is.  I find as I get older I get more and more bothered by some basic logic flow of things.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

No one would ever say "your part of the ATC team"

But they might say "you're part of the ATC team" 😉

I've never used default ATC. It has so many deficiencies and a robotic sound. I just fly without ATC

Try playing a LiveATC.net stream in the background, if there's coverage in the area of the World you are flying in.
I also use the payware FS-ATC-Chatter by Stick and Rudder Studios.

It sounds realistic because it is!

I have used PF3 for years. Worked great with P3D and now with MSFS 2020. ATC that makes sense. Never fly without it.

I use P2ATC as well, but the difference between you and I is that because I use P2ATC, I do not care much about the default ATC.  If they improve it, great, but it won't affect my experience.  The default is all right for what it is, a skeleton system designed to very roughly reproduce ATC.

The problem I have with things like P2ATC is that it completely ignores the world of aircraft around you. You are sandboxed into a one man show as far as ATC is concerned.

With the hundreds(?) of grammatical errors inflicted upon us each and every day, you pick up on this.  I wonder why.

Having said that, and there is no slur intended here, there is a world of difference between your and you're.

I admit to being "old school" and quite unconvinced about the ever-rising "necessity" of desecrating English as she is spoke, and the increasing proliferation of the use of acronyms.

I also have to admit that I do not really enjoy having to "google" acronyms in order to understand a basic sentence in my native tongue.

Not really a relevant part of this topic, but just felt I had to add it. Apologies to all who feel offended.

Well you've tolerated a mediocre ATC in FSX, the numerous incarnations of P3D, and worst of all X-Plane.  What makes you think things would change? Particularly since most people have, over the last many years, gravitated to 3rd party solutions. Nowhere did I see ASOBO or MS or anyone else promise the ATC would be anything but a general port from FSX.

For my own purposes I find it adequate but over the course of all three versions noted above I've purchased 3rd party solutions. Everything from P2ATC to PF3 to public domain and payware solutions for X-Plane.

Get over it because it is what it is.

Lenny777,

This cannot be correct, as everybody know that MSFS is new from the ground up and has been touted as such for a long time now.

Tongue in cheek, obviously.

You mean like they promised with the New 1K point Flight Model but still gave us the general FSX Port?
