April 14, 20215 yr C-152 with mod is pretty good, but Just Flight Arrow III is completely superior and definitely worth buying if you want the best GA experience this game has to offer at the moment. April 14, 20215 yr Study level is just an interpretation of an interpretation. The new modern model may be a bit twitchy because it has more resolution. April 14, 20215 yr I fly almost none of the Premium planes. April 14, 20215 yr Ryan, Are you including the modded ones or is it just the basic default ones you leave alone. I have to say that I am only flying the modded ones and have yet to buy a payware aircraft or scenery as yet for MSFS. I have however, bought 3 Xplane 11 aircraft including the amazing Phenom300 from Aerobask, in the last three months. I also bought xenviro which seems to be much better than the UXWP product, albeit very much more expensive. I am also downloading that aircraft you gave me a link to. I tried to register and it told me that my email address was already registered. So I tried to log in and it told me the system could not find my email address. I am into it, probably as a guest and am downloading it as we speak. Looks amazing mate. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). For now I have the standard version through Game Pass for PC. But I will not continue using Game Pass so when purchasing it there is no good reason to buy a version above standard if the extra planes are no good. Not directly related to good or bad but I think still important at least for me. In the standard version most planes are glass cockpit which I don't like. First I have the impression that they hit performance more than analog gauges. Also a little bit difficult to read at least in VR which I use now. How are the planes in deluxe and premium deluxe in this regard. Which are analog types ? Are you new to MSFS2020?
April 14, 20215 yr The Steam Gauge 172, the Cirrus, the TBM and the Longitude are the pick of the deluxe/premium aircraft. I do not fly any of them much, but then again the price per aircraft is pretty nominal compared to something like the CRJ or JF Arrow. None of the airliners are particularly great. Personally I fly the Jabiru a lot for local stuff (it is vastly better with the most recent patch), the Carenado Mooney for longer flights on autopilot at 5 to 10,000 feet and the Fiat G91 cold war jet for longer flights when I want to do some low level scud running. I have not got around to picking up the P149 or the JF Arrow yet so cannot comment on those personally other than to say they have very good reviews which is impressive considering how nit picky and narky the flight sim community tends to be 😄 Edited April 14, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick

A bug here and there and many (non-essential) inoperative buttons, but usable and enjoyable overall. Surely 30 planes in a 60 $ flight simulator which includes lifetime free streaming of photogrammetry data and live weather (just to mention a couple of things that represent an actual cost for MS) CANNOT BE as good as a single payware plane sold for 50 $. Besides, there are free mods, some of which are very good (i.e. FBW A32NX). 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
April 14, 20215 yr I use the modded versions of the Longitude, G36 and 172. They're much more accurate in terms of flight model and performance compared to the default versions. There are also mods fixing the G1000 and G3000 avionics. The mods are available via the official forum. Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System. UK PPL since 2006 current on PA-28, C-152, C172, Decathlon, C-42 based at EGHP.

No I just mean the default planes...no mods etc. I have all the mods available but the only noteworthy ones are of course the WT CJ4 and perhaps the WT G300. Was using the Rob Young Bonanza but not sure if there's been any more work done. It was a really nice mod initially...but I think he stopped work after Asobo made a bunch of changes. Perhaps if his health allows, he'll finish the DA62. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I find the Xcub and the 172, the default aircraft I have flown the most, enjoyable and convincing as is. The only thing is that the autopilot doesn't do the RNAV. If you like hand flying like I do, they are not bad at all to wait for something better. The turboprops unfortunately suffer from the FSX legacy. Standard version here, that was the right decision to make, I reckon.
