Thanks for the hint - ironically, it worked fine the next time I started, but I'll keep that in mind.

Happy to report that I just completed the first successful flight running Premium - now, I'll start turning on the extras and see if she remains stable.

Try turning off messaging, apparently some people are finding the airspace warnings and messages re causing CTDs.

It may not hurt to advise the dev of when you got the CTDs .

How do we turn off messaging apart from with the key at the foot of the screen.

Main menu>System>Setup>Options    From there you can just turn off airspace messages or turn off the messaging system completely.

Since i turned off the messaging system I've never had a CTD.

The PMS50 GTN750 mod was updated in the past 24 hours. Did this solve the airspace messages CTD issue?

MSFS

The update (either WU4 or the updated 750) messed with the Arrow IIIs integration of this

The analog com panel is back, but not the analog squawk panel, and no way to change the squawk codes. It's stuck on 7000 in the 750

Edit: Restarted after removing repaints.. Seems to be ok now

Just a heads up  - if you use Navigraph subscription for Navigation data. , note that there was a new revision AIRAC 2105 released yesterday [25/05].

See here :  https://forum.navigraph.com/t/release-notes-airac-cycle/1755

Could not understand why the PMS GTN 750 mod was behaving strangely. Tracked it down to the Navigraph AIRAC cycle I had installed.

Installed AIRAC 2105 rev.3 and is all good now.

Anyone else notice it's out of beta and pricing is now up?

The latest updates to both basic and premium in the change log are not labeled as beta anymore

Pricing

Basic version: Free

Premium version : €25 per year or €75 for a lifetime license

In U.S. dollars, that's $30 per year or roughly $91 for lifetime.  That's a lot of money for an incomplete GPS no matter how good it is at what it currently can do

Edit: I'd be willing to spend that if it was much more fleshed out, but it's not even close yet.

When these guys start shovelling subscriptions around, i just say no. I mean WHY? Its the same wit navigragh. I feel like i have to fly a lot in order to get my moneys worth out of it. And i don't feel like flying all the time. So i do a 4-5 flights in a month time permitting then i have to ask myself did i get my money's worth? No. So what happens if i buy this product? I'll fly a bit because it is new then ill shelve it and comeback to it later. Oh Noes you cant use it sub has run out... Have a set price lower a little get lots of buyers and have a smile on your face because you have added something to the community the customers are happy and every one wins.

Also, with all that WT is doing, and Asobo working alongside WT.. This subscription service for a GPS that isn't even close to fully fleshed out yet just seems like a waste of money. Unless they step up development dramatically fast. There will be no need for this anyway. As it is. I don't even use it because of the `known issues' it has which for IFR flights are deal breakers.

I pretty much agree with you. Subscriptions are like a vampire sitting on your shoulder, constantly sucking the life-blood (money out of you). Luckily, the subscription model hasn't quite caught on yet in flight simming.

My money (or lack thereof) is on WT, FbW and others improving the avionics, with those improvements eventually becoming part of the base sim. A first example of this would be the G1000NXi that WT is developing.

Going forward, my goal is to spend as little money as possible on flight simming, as kind of a "atonement" for the thousands of $$$ I wasted on FSX and P3D. I'm really embarrassed when I look at my simmarket or orbx, or Aerosoft accounts.

Luckily, MSFS 2020 makes that goal very much attainable.

91 bucks for a GTN that's not even close to as capable as the real one?

How bout.....yyyynnnnnno!

The GTN x1 is about half that amount to purchase it ( $48 US) . I believe it has more features too. The only problem is that you can't mount it in the Panel, and  click on it to open it. It has to remain open on another monitor I would guess.
