Yes after you did all this

I thought so at first but then found out most of the visual degradations were recoverable:

Object LOD can be increased in the cfg.
Colorgradation can be disabled in the cfg.
Monitor / Nvidia settings can be tweaked further for colours (simply setting my panel to ‘gaming’ mode made a huge difference)
Reverting Nvidia driver to 466.77 virtually eliminated problems with the AA, cloud pixelation, and artefacting.

and you voted to sort out

Bring back volumetric lighting!

So it was far from alright out the box, you did not need to do all that before SU5 nor did anyone else.

Thats said, at least your shared your way of making it look good again. Thats far more helpfull than some are. Like people who are now getting CTD and some bright spark replys I dont.

I would love to see there facers if they when to the doctors to ask about their bad headaches they having and the Doctor turned round and said " I dont get them?"

Those of you who say that now you have better graphics too after some tweaks... Can you list them?

After SU5 I could go to Ultra settings on + some more (supersampling 8x8 for example). And with higher FPS and no stuttering at all. So after that everything looks a bit better, especially runway textures and markings that where annoyingly blurry before SU5 (for me).

Welcome to flight simulation on a PC.  XBox is the way to go IMO.

I have a Series X and have MSFS installed. I pulled it up once to see it and probably won't go back to it. Having to change things to use a controller in the menus and then flying with the controller has 0 interest to me. I will stick with the PC and my external controllers, now that I have found my CTD solution. 3 flights down now without issues.

Regardless, XBox is still the way to go if you can't or don't want to manage a PC.

The point being that if you do have an issue it can be hard to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from, though most people seem to be pinning the blame solely on Asobo, which is not always the most accurate call.

In a real plane...... the frame rate and graphics are outstanding...

My pick would be "Better frame rate and graphics fine with no tweaks", but since the OP didn't include that one I picked the third one.

I don't use tweaks and graphics are fine here, just a bit brighter than before. No CTD's.

Might have been said before but the poll is missing an option: Better frame rate and graphics are fine. No tweaks needed outside of the sliders.

Interesting results so far. They appear to indicate the (apparently) silent majority seems to be relatively happy with the release.

Please excuse my ignorance but how do you revert to an older driver (I usually just use the GeForce Experience to update). Do I have to find the old drivers on a web site somewhere?
