Anything can improve as we are dealing with a studio and publisher who define their backlog partially based on user's feedback. The times of LM's radio silence are finally over.

Personally, if it is only possible to choose one, I'd take the gorgeous looking water on MSFS over water physics. Nevertheless, I do hope that physics are also improved for those who enjoy sail boats or water planes.

Asobo we need moving flags! 😄

Well this first time creator of London Stansted managed to incorporate flags fluttering in the wind so it must be possible!

I’ve always thought that the MSFS world would make a brilliant base/canvas for a new train simulator.  Imagine building a route where a lot of ground features are already there rather than starting from scratch.  Sure they would be a bit rough from ground level but far better than starting from a blank screen.  Also, who knows what AI could do if it were refocused on generating a train simulator level of detail at ground level.

Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

Trains and truck simulation would absolutely make sense. They'd just have to customize specific routes (like they do anyway) and don't care for the rest of the environment.

Happy with MSFS 🙂
home simming evolved

MSFS won't be complete until I can leave my (virtual) real house in my (virtual) real car, drive to the (virtual) airport near me, go through (virtual) security to the (virtual) briefing room, get my flight information, and board my (virtual) plane. Then, I will call it finished! 😎

It's amazing how versatile MSFS is.  We have people using it as a boat simulator now, lol: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1116213326

Although this is terrific, it is not new by any means. I was boating around FSX years ago in this nice, vintage, wooden powerboat:

Riva Aquarama Speedboat for FSX (flyawaysimulation.com)

(And also driving around in a BMW 😉 )

Yeah, if they improve the water physics, it will be good not only for float planes, but also the people using MSFS as a boat sim.  I suspect they will make an improvement to water physics within the next 2 years.
