OK mods.  It's well past time.  When chiding begins its time to draw the curtain.

This is his quote: "are you now posting the same on the XP forum. "

We are on the MSFS forum, so I have no idea what he is talking about.

Then the figures may even be vastly understated?  Because like many others reporting here I am only able to complete some of my flights, perhaps for me 45% of the flights I start.

Well, OnAir is a platform to generate virtual money and buy/rent virtual aircraft, so there is a drive to finish your flight and get paid. And even if that was the case, it would be understated for all sims.

Yes, please, to those who are not happy with the statistics, perhaps it is better to refrain from commenting. You can't argue against numbers...

Hmmm. so we are not allowed to talk positively about MSFS in the MSFS forums because it triggers P3D and XPlane folks?

That said, I have to say, I haven't had more fun playing a flightsim since back in the days when I walked to my local Best Buy in Washington DC and bought a copy of Terminal Reality's Fly!

Facts and data are just that, facts and data.

I am not sure why people would expect the numbers to be any different? Microsoft is the originator of this entire industry and they are back in a big way. They have and always will be the 1000 pound gorilla. That doesn’t mean MSFS is better for everyone. But there is no denying it will once again dominate sales, users, etc. And if those numbers are any indicator, 3rd party add-on developers are going to be focused on MSFS for years to come. Again, that doesn’t mean MSFS is better for everyone, but it does have future implications for P3D and XP.

Fly what you like. I don’t think the OP meant to trigger anyone. I personally found the data interesting, but not surprising.

This is nothing to do with the subject of the topic at all but in fact numbers can be unrepresentative of the facts. Advertisers and governments do this all the time. This is why there is the quotation ""Lies, damned lies, and statistics". This does not necessarily cast doubt on the veracity of the statistics that you have quoted but they should be seen in the strict context of OnAir users, rather than the wider context of MSFS versus the rest. To be honest, until now, I had not heard of it.

This does represent one data point. But combined with other data points we have had, especially from certain 3rd party developers, i think we all know the impact MSFS is having. Now will that impact ultimately be good or bad in the long run? Hard to say.

It is not at all the statistics.  It is the chiding of others who continue to fly multiple sims.

Well, I have already tried it in vanilla - no difference. Still crashes.

Richard, please report this to the Zendesk, I was in your situation four months ago and they efficiently and kindly pulled me out of it, so why dont you try? I can read your desperate and frustrated posts on many topics, but no one here - or elsewhere - is able to help you as your problem is probably related to your hardware or installation, and only Asobo or MS are equipped for that, otherwise you are simply aggravating yourself with no help from anyone.

Just a suggestion of course.

Good luck!

Thank you for your kind suggestions. Alas, I have five tickets at Zendesk already. Four of them marked as "solved" (before the latest hotpatch) despite them not being anywhere close to solved. They have absolutely no solution to the issue at hand. The fifth ticket is yet to be responded to, but rest assured they have given me lots of nonsensical tips in their auto-generated response (no overcclock, vanilla sim et cetera). Been there, done that. Still does not work. I would say the odds of them fixing this is slim to none (seeing as CTDs seems to be quit low on those Feedback snapshots and the very vague wording from them regarding the issue).

(And before any of the "l33t haxxors" bless me with their knowledge; there is nothing wrong with my computer as it functions perfectly well without issue doing everything else besides MSFS).
