(I had many CTDs with 0.2, so wondering of worth trying it again) I had many CTDs with the previous version but was able to test this version for two days before it was released. I had no more CTDs. I have not tested the version released to the marketplace yet but you should be good. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

This thread is about an update to a free product in the Marketplace. It's been in the Marketplace since I believe the same week SU5 launched. Maybe actually read the thread you're replying to first? Plus everything that has an update has been updated in the marketplace over the last year. It's usually a couple weeks behind because of MS's approval process, but they all update eventually (if the dev submits the update). Yes, I wouldn't recommend buying airports and aircraft from the marketplace, not because of the update delay, but because the files are encrypted, so third party programs can't read them. Though, If you never plan on using third party programs that require reading the scenery and aircraft files, then go ahead, buy from the marketplace. Edited August 14, 20214 yr by Tuskin38

You cannot (as yet) enter your own constraints, but that ability will be coming. I have used it several times, and it works very well. You cannot enter a cruise altitude (yet) so climbs will be done in either VS or FLC mode. Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. August 14, 20214 yr I have a problem with v0.3.0. If I start entering the fligh plan with the keyboard I then can't move the flaps or the trim or hide the yokes anymore. Everything stops working and I just hear a click when trying to use the flaps. It doesn't happen if I enter the plan rotating the buttons, only if I use the keyboard function. This is in the default 172 and I don't have the WT G1000 installed. I do have the G3000 and CJ4 but I think those don't interfere with the G1000 NXi. Is this a known issue? Do you deselect the keyboard focus (click anywhere on the instrument screen) after entering something? The little icon next to the input field should not be blue anymore. August 14, 20214 yr My god you lot are like vultures, tearing Bobsk8 a new one. There is no need. Sure correct him *if* you think he is wrong, but be firm and polite about it. Offer him your opinion. And remember, that’s all it is, an opinion. Agree to disagree and move on. What’s all this ‘what you smoking’ stuff all about? So immature.

August 14, 20214 yr okay this is wierd 🙂 I just tried a short flight in a 172 to test this new 1000 and setup a quick and dirty flight in the default flight planner and then went and flew it.... Went with GPS and autopilot on Nav. The flight plan in the 1000 was not the same as the flight plan in the VFR map or on the flight planner... Now, I also have Navigraph enabled, but I did the same flight earlier before installing the w1000 and it followed the VFR map flight plan... is this something new in the way it calculates the actual route. For reference, my route was IFR low altitude EGHH to EGGD at 5000 ft. The Planned route in FS showed the big radial approach to EGGD runway 27 IFR as normal, but the G1000 took a direct route to EGGD and then on the IFR approach.. had a nice radial at the end of the approach leg as opposed to the rather jaggy box shape to it. I like the new approach.. but is that corrrect, is the new 1000 overriding the default flight planner as shown on the VFR map and just taking the same transit points but calculating it's own route between them? Correct, the nxi uses its own advanced flight plan logic. Unfortunately, it does not update the VFR map (as yet..) Edited August 14, 20214 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
August 14, 20214 yr I can't make the plane capture the localizer for an ILS approach. I press APR, the PDF shows LOC, AP, ALT, GS, I see the G on the tape, the localizer needle starts moving but the plane crosses the localizer and doesn't capture it as if I didn't press APR. Tried 3 or 4 times, it captures the glideslope but not the localizer. What is going on? One of the big things that make the NXI great is the advanced flight planning and path calculation capabilities (DME arcs, procedure turns etc.), that are currently not possible in any other instrument across the sim. These capabilities are prototyped in the NXI, so to say, for them to be transferred to other instruments and/or in the end into the core sim at a later point in time. As with the CJ4 (that contains our first attempt of our own flight plan management) we will implement the sync back to the sim, but the VFR map will never fully match since the sim doesn't parse the procedures the way we do and therefore doesn't draw them like this. Again, until these things get integrated into the sim. In your case you did see a path on the VFR map because you had set it up in the world map, so the sim knows about your plan but shows it the way it calculates it.
