Not for me. The only subscriptions I'm interested in are the ones people do on my youtube channel, and they're free anyway.

Same here. I avoid subscriptions. The only one I have is the Navigraph FMS Data but thats because I fly regularly enough to make use of it in multiple aircraft.

 

 

No thank you, not even close to being worth $6 per month. SimToolKit Pro is free and a lot better.

I don't have any issues with subscriptions if they provide features I want.

Navigraph and Volanta Premium together should improve my simming a fair bit. Persistence, CTD beating save system and some nice social bits to make the world feel more alive. (edited this as I learnt shortly after the remote save is not actually MSFS compatible, shame)

I shall give it a month, see how it is. Even the 25% off Orbx is worth the 4.09GBP it has cost me.

Yes I don't need to have the latest nav data every month. I don't fly on VATSIM. So it's a waste of money.

I would not mind 1-2 bucks a month, 12-20 for the year for that as long as they improve it. The road map looks weak. I suspect the 4k screen shots are costing them some disk space so they are pushing some of their cloud provider cost to the consumer. I don't mind subscriptions, but this is too much, 

Orbx continues to hammer home the fact that company is a shell of its former self. John Venema is laughing all the way to retirement at all the people who hated him at this point. Say what you want but that man knew how to run a company.  The current CEO knows how to run it into the ground

Wait, John is no longer the CEO? Who took over and when?

On the face of it £4 p/m doesn't break the bank, it's cheaper than a Pint and god knows I'm sinking more of them lately now that the pubs are back open! But what do you get for that £4 a month? Not a lot that interests me so I won't be subbing, the 25% off other ORBX products is tempting but then they have a Sale every other week so I'll just wait for the next one, for now the standard package is good enough for me so I'll continue to use that.

I don't get all the negativity. 

I don't need this tool, I don't have it, but why so much negativity for extra features if you don't need them and enjoy the free version?

Because subscription models for stuff like this are the very definition of "provide less for more over the long term".  You're essentially getting ripped off

Only the host needs Premium Volanta. They aren't talking about the MSFS tier level.

I would instant sub if the "Cloud Auto Saves" Function restores 100% of the plane (im flying currently the aerosoft crj) and its current functions / system states.

The build in save function from MSFS is horrible, the aircraft systems states are not saved (flightplan etc.).
