Another gem from BIJAN: "ISLANDS, BOATS, HUTS, TREES"

I'll buy that too, but I see a possible conflict with ORBX vessels (Channel Islands and/or St Marteen ...), because the latter does in parts the same as Bijans add-on.

An addon to improve islands, shorelines, coastal areas is very much needed. I feel that this project will eventually grow over time as more people will contribute to areas that needs fixing and enhancements. With Henrik's Global Ship and Seafront Vessels addons contributing to making the seas more realistic and much more alive, this will definitely make Island hopping and flying much more enjoyable!

I'm not going though his whole thread again, but I'm fairly sure I saw him say he wont be doing those areas because they are already done by Seafront Simulations (Orbx are only the publisher)

If there's a clash with another addon (EG, there's a San Diego International Airport addon that includes the marina) then he has said to others that if you email him he'll do you a custom pack that doesn't include that area.

I'm sure Bijan will see this thread soon and correct me if I've got something wrong, but I think that's the gist of it.

I'd suggest having a look for yourself https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/project-rock-islands-sunken-boats-huts-pg-trees/447859/3

Interesting he is doing marinas in California?  Maybe he resides there?  I see San Diego, my home town, is next on the list.  Am I reading his product incorrectly.  He has done one rock island or does the product have lots of these on many islands?

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

*Added Nui Rock Island in Nui Beach, Phi Phi Island, Thailand.

*Added Khao Ta Pu Rock Island in Thailand (James Bond Island)

So it looks like two so far.  After that it depends on requests I guess.  The more of us that buy it, the more that gets added.

I think he's based in LA.

Purchased and immediately sent in my requests, for those that are interested it's the River Adur which runs alongside EGKA (Shoreham Airport) which has a few boats & House boats on it, Shoreham Port which has it's own mini marina (and lovely pub!) with Ships and Brighton Marina.

Fantastic!  I've not checked his stuff out yet but heard (and seen) very good things.  As we approach Autumn, I will definitely pick up one of his autumn packs first!

I love his season's mods so don't take this the wrong way, but you DO notice he is requiring his 4 season's pack to be installed. Just a heads-up for those going over the edge.

So this can't be used if we'd like to keep the default trees?

Why would you want to? Bijans trees are so much better.

Well, that's highly subjective and I know many people love Bijan's trees.

I prefer the default trees, at least in spring and summer.

While Bijan's trees themselves look great,  they often don't fit into the scenery and seem like a foreign body because their colour does not match with the colour of the underlying scenery texture. And because of that the limit of the tree draw distance becomes more eye-catching too.

That's why I don't want to use Bijan's trees year round.

Still this new project looks very interesting, so for me it would be a pity if it could only be used alongside his trees.
