Installing and launching the Xbox App from the Microsoft Store worked for me too. Finally updating!

I have been on vacation in the area this summer and had one of the most amazing panoramic views I can imagine. I wish it would have been possible to capture on a photograph.

It was late afternoon, and I was driving on the L82 towards west. There was maybe a 5/8th cloud cover, the sun sending god-rays and one could see the Harz Mountains with the Brocken in the background and the silhoette of the castle in the foreground, the fields golden.

It was pure magic.

Have you tried launching the sim through the xbox app?  that's what got the update to show up in store for lots of us that were having the same issue.

Worked for me too! Thanks!👍 I already had the app so I loaded it and clicked "Get Update" in the Store again, and it started downloading Surviving Mars and Descenders too. Haven't played those in ages so I wonder how long they were waiting for updates?🙄

OK it worked for me. Thanks - excellent advice! Never had to do that before tho

Wait. There's an update to surviving mars? I have it from the epic store. I will have to check that out.

You might already have it. It's so long since I fired it up that if it was failing to update for the same reason as MSFS today, it could have had a pending update sitting there for many months.😀

It probably will work… by the time you finish reinstalling Windows, the update will be live for you.🤣

So I wonder if launching the XBox app will now be the standard way non-Steam users have to look for MSFS updates? To misquote, "The more things change the more they stay the same change"!🙄

Well at first glance finding the terrain and trees are very blurry and undefined from last build and anti aliasing on aircraft is bad 😞
