What did you do?

Followed the advice people posted on this thread. Make sure your MS Store account is the same as your XBox account. I was using two different email addresses. So inside MS Store, I logged off and logged back in under the XBox account. Then I clicked the 3 ellipses in MS Store, went to Downloads and Updates, clicked Get Updates and then it started updating.

I have installed the xbox app. Relaunched and relaunched and relaunched....still no update option.

They owe us an Excuse for this cumbersome update procedure ...

Did you try going in MS Store, click the 3 dots on the top right, click Downloads and Updates, and then Get Updates? That worked for me. It updated on a different screen than usual but started nonetheless. Make sure your log in credentials in MS Store are the same as in the XBox app.

Well, i won't go that road just to get a download going. Why all of a sudden the XBox word not allowed? I will not, and i repeat, will not get an Xbox, nor download the XBox app for whatever stuff has to work on my "PC" in the first place.
All of sudden my MSFS install isn't listed anymore either (although it still loads fine, works fine (well, sort off), didn't move places on drives so what gives?
The Microsoft Store is just utterly word not allowed compared to what the competition has to offer.

End rand!

Why Can't Microsoft figure out  a way to update this program that works......Every time, it is something different.. Imagine what windows 11 will be like.

I had to mess around logging in and out of Xbox app and resetting the downloader.

I am not sure what made it work, but finally it is installing. After 3 restarts, I did all the stuff in

This is a pain, MS needs to fix this...

They will never fix this update process. They don't know how to run an update period.

Thanks for the reply.  I click 3 dots and opened all the options.  Library etc. No update appears. In the past option to update use to appear.

I will wait til tomorrow.  I am sure it will sort itself.

Well this update tops them all. Now I am locked out of MSFS all together. You can't update it, and it won't let you start it either. Great friggin job Asobo.
