I thought ASOBO said quite a while back the FSX code was actually pretty good, they just added to it and revamped it or whatever.

As far as bug fixes, Jorg said SU8 was going to be nothing but bug fixes and clearing the bug deficit.  SU 6-7 are also getting more fixes and corrections to the core sim as we mentioned above.

it is a good signal if they do like this. And perhaps the delayed Top Gun DLC give them the time for this

This delay has nothing to do with MS or Asobo, it was Paramount's call. The movie was delayed and they can't release the DLC before the movie. The DLC is probably ready for a while now.

The in sim ATIS is wrong, but the actual conditions when at an airport (wind and temperature at least) are usually accurate to the current METAR if you look it up outside the sim..

I just use littlenavmap to see the current weather.

Sometimes they are close, sometimes not at all....based on my experience for upper Midwest airports in the USA.

Yes, i didn't say the delay was the fact of MS 😉 but it gives them some times to focus on other things. Probably it is near to be finish, but they will not spend time in support for it, they have some "free time" (and perhaps they start to understand some people are waiting for a stable plateform before having new content, adding more and more support time, they really need to unstack Zendesk reports before).

...and the delay perhaps gives time for Asobo to make SU8 a big bug killing update which is what @nirgal76 was getting at 😉

But my guess is they have already finished it, but didn't release because they can't. So, makes no difference for them. That was my point.😉

This DLC don't seem to be as big or complex as an World Update or a Sim Update.

If you watch their promo videos you will see they have flight experts consultants. Actually some of them have got their PPLs to help understand the concepts. That’s not the problem, I’m sure. The problem is the product needs time to mature. It’s not easy to develop a domestic flight simulator. The costumers want really diffuse features (scenery, SDK, aircrafts, missions etc).

I believe Sebastian has his PPL (or at least was in the process of getting it).  There is video of Sebastian flying solo in a small GA airplane.

I just use LATC for the ambience so set it for the departure airport then again for the arrival airport where possible.  For music I primarily use New Age stuff from Steven Halpern, David Arkenstone, stuff like that.  It turn the music on via my keyboard buttons assiged for music, usually as I am getting on to the runway threshold.

What is LATC?

Oui. Les trois prochaines mise a jour seront seulement concentré à des améliorations et de finallement écraser les 'bugs' qui sont dans le sim depuis l'alpha.

English translation: Yes. The next three updates will only focus on making improvements and finally overwriting the 'bugs' that have been in the sim since alpha.

Please use English in your replies.

Yes. Starting now, the sim updates (SU's) will be concentrating almost entirely on fixes and nothing more. So Jorg said in the Q&A. With emphasis on CTD's he said.

Great!  So SU6, 7, and 8 are all about improving the core simulator, and bug fixes.

This is the best news I have heard about MSFS for ages, and it all makes sense to me.

I wish them luck, and I am looking forward to trying DX12 when it is available.

If the Quest Kodiak and Twin Otter also turn up soon, I will be a happy bunny!

I kind of looked and stared at the part when Jayne asked the question? Will MSFS ever be a sim for Simmers and not just a "Pretty Game", Seem liked it took Jorg "hesitant" a few moments to ask that question.

I called that question trash in the chat and I'm happy I wasn't the only one that decided to say it.
