So the consensus is SU6 was a good patch?

Why does the log book show that I only take off but never land?????🙄

Do you shut everything down at the end of each flight presumably?  Also, if you go into Dev Mode this will kill recording of that flight in the logbook.  I hope they change that so that going into Dev Mode does not disrupt recording that flight in the logbook I have zen-desked it to Asobo but no luck so far.

I can fly from Point A to Point B, so yeah, it's a good patch; although, I try not to open my eyes to see broke things.

Yes, I shut everything down, never use Developer mode. It just shows I took off, and never land when the logbook page pops up.

What's weird is that for me it's the opposite. My landings are recorded but not my takeoffs. I'm flying almost exclusively Vatsim right now and I figured it was related to that.

When I don't use Dev Mode toggle the logbook always works perfectly--but can't stand the microstutter that happens w/ the white logging spinner so I almost always toggle Dev Mod on and off.

This is pretty critical stuff to get fixed...otherwise the DLC is going to get raked over the coals.

The ttle should be changed to  'Great Patch'.

EDIT: Spotted this thread about the issue below:

Another issue I haven't had before is with static* AI aircraft showing up pink until I get closer. Mainly it's the livery (prompting me to think it's associated with that), but sometimes it's the cockpit internals. It's very luminous pink, so if you're suffering from the same thing, you can't help but have noticed it. I'll need to screenshot it next time I see it.

* Haven't seen enough moving AI to know if they are similarly afflicted.

There is no question VRAM in use went way up compared to prior to SU6, in the air and on the ground.  My sense is the terrain detail slider is doing something very different from what editing the .opt file did, but not sure exactly how.  It's hard to guess where it will end up, but right now RTX 3090 users will be pleased they have the resources to grapple with that.  On my first flight in SU6, B787-10 HD, KIAD to KORD, in the air at FL400 I'm seeing over 9Gb in use, and landing at KORD made it all the way up to 11.96Gb (3080Ti), whereas prior to that this flight would have seen ~7.2Gb or less at FL400, and maybe 9.2Gb at KORD, and that is with the LOD-T at 400 via the .opt and now via the slider.  Of course, we have a slew of sliders to move around as needed, so this is not a bad thing it just it is what it is.  For me I felt distance detail quality was perfect pre SU6, so not yet sure what this increase in VRAM use really means quite yet.

I've been using one of my work systems that has a 3090 for the last couple of days, and I think you're right about a change since SU6. The 3090 no longer requires me to change VR render scale settings before flying (which was needed on Both 3080 and 3090 prior to update) for the settings I prefer to use, where the 3080 still needs the changes before flight. Also, maybe the 3090 has now gained some additional smoothness over the 3080.

Just to explain the render scale change above - although I intend to fly with VR msfs render scale set to 100, before most flights I need to change the scale from 100 to 105, apply it, then change it back to 100 and apply, to be able to have a stutter free flight.

Can't be absolutely sure yet and will keep testing

I agree, all in all I think this was a good update. While the first year was a bit of a roller coaster ride they now seem to have got their act together and we finally see the fruits of their hard work. Of course, there‘s still a lot to be done but my general feeling is that we‘re on track.

Same here. For months, the logbook has recorded a landIng with no prior takeoff. Departure and destination airports are correctly logged though. This happens with or without Vatsim.

After SU6 I did a short flight in the default 172 between two airports 30 miles apart to test the latest version of the NXi. When shutting down at the destination, I was surprised to see that the logbook actually recorded both the takeoff and the landing. It’s the first time I have seen that work correctly in ages.

Last time I paid attention, it was logging both take-off and landings. I'm going to pay even more attention now, and try some different scenarios to see if anything affects it.

Did you start flight at runway or Gate?

I normally start at a gate - or parkIng ramp when using a GA aircraft.
