No CTD - just have to exit by CTRL-ALT-DEL. It's driving me insane since I had flawless game play for a good 3 weeks when first bought - nothing has changed to my computer hard/software other than FS updates. I have tried every possible alteration that I've read about so far. I have heard people in my situation actually reinstalling windows 10 only to find the error persists. If it's any help, I had loads of CTD's after SU5. My main CTD's were with the WT CJ4 but on their discord, I could see my problem was not shared by anyone else. Along with the CTD's I had the hanging at load issue as well. Oh dear, I thought, so I suffered it until the SU5 hotfix was released but it did not cure my afore mentioned issues. Then WU6 was released, the hanging on load seemed to be fixed for me but the CJ4 kept CTD'ing. I elected to wait for SU6, which I installed with the updated CJ4 12.8. Bang, CTD again! Enough was enough. I re-installed Windows 10 and the entire sim again. Result? I have completed seven flights in the CJ4 since without one CTD. I haven't experienced any hanging load screens either. There was obviously an issue local to me that caused it. Whether it was the sim or Win 10, I don't know but a full re-install of both fixed my issue. I'm aware others have followed this path without success but it is surely worth a try? Hope this helps Stu Edited October 28, 20214 yr by Bunchy i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

October 28, 20214 yr Thanks to all the good suggestions made here - much appreciated. No matter what I try makes any difference so looks like it's a case of either reinstalling Windows 10, and/or getting an improved graphics card + more RAM, and eventually a dedicated SSD to install FS on. In the meantime - a miracle might just happen:-)

I've been tempted to upgrade just once, hoping to get version 456.78 but that seemed unlikely so I fell back to the old mantra: "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and "KISS". To round out the picture, I also permanently disabled Windows Update and removed all traces of anti-virus software. And, I did a Windows Restore, a full backup, and I do an incremental backup a couple of times a month. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

October 29, 20214 yr I've noticed lately that there's a lot more aliasing lately. I'm not sure if it started after SU6 but it's definitely more noticeable. One of the things I loved earlier on is that I finally had a sim where there was absolutely NO aliasing. I have a 3080 and my settings are at TAA. Does anyone know why this could be happening and if there's a stronger or better way to get anti-aliasing.
