P3D scenery wasn't that bad compared to MSFS

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

You got to be kidding. I had to go back to P3D for a couple of weeks while my PC was being repaired, and it was beyond horrible. And I had spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to make it look decent, and never achieved that goal. Putting lipstick on a pig, and it still looks like a pig.

You fishing for bites? In a default state MSFS blows everything out the water, stick even freeware stuff at and it just amazing to look at. I still find myself going wow coming into land, the approach to Sarajevo is fantastic.

Some of the default airports in MSFS look better than P3d payware scenery.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case, two pictures. 🙂

I just finished a P3D flight. P3D is NOT even close. In fact as I finished my flight I said to myself I'm freeing up some space on my M-2 and deleting this, I just can't force myself to delete it yet, I love some of my P3D planes too much. And. P3D is a slide show compared to MSFS(VR).

ROG MAXIMUS X HERO, Intel Core i7 8700K, 32 GB's 3200 RAM, Gigabyte RTX3080,

You can't compare them when they're made by different developers (ORBX and PM Scenery). Nothing about MSFS should prevent an airport's appearance being identical to a P3D one -- but the airport scenery being made by a different developer would certainly have something to do with it.

yea, and you can make a picture tell ANY stories you can think of.

on a macro level, yes, 3D modeling of a building will obviously look the same in both (except for the lighting), bit start to zoom out a bit, then good luck with your screenshots lol

There simply is no contest in the graphics department between P3D and MSFS. MSFS is several generations ahead of P3D. As have already been stated; many default airports (even small one out in the middle of no-where) look absolutely stunning where in P3D is is a brown rectangle in a 'forest' of two trees.

Why not show a comparison with the same perspective, including the hills in the background?  The P3D pic only shows the immediate airport which is custom.

But the pictures don't show MSFS vs P3D, right? They show addon A vs addon B. Take a screenshot of default KHAF in both sims, to see whether your comparison is valid....

I understand your post mate , but I want more from a Sim than : P3D scenery isn't that bad ; MSFS gives me that and so much more .

Why is the OP's topic title in the past tense?😉I Use both platforms for different needs. Regards.
