Hi,

does anyonw can tell me the function of the follwing folder installed in community folder:

....\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta_CVT_

greets Klaus

CVT files are something MSFS creates when it has to convert a file to make it compatible. Usually it's a model file that is not MSFS native.

To those with long startup times of the AIG manager:

While installation wasn't really fun, AIG is running fine in MSFS now, thus I think I did it basically right.

However, if I start the AIG manager after having all flightplans installed, it takes around 50 min (with 95% CPU load) on my system to successfully finish (yes, admin rights plus command line properly set). Thus, you might try waiting a little longer than 10-15 min.

Of course, the AIG manager isn't required to run for injecting traffic into MSFS after initial installation, just for administration.

Kind regards, Michael

How much hard drive space does it require? 50 minutes is a long time.

With every airline installed it's around 30GB.

It takes 26 GB in my Community folder. The AIG folder itself is small, 200 MB.

how many addons do you have installed? 200MB is quite big for AIM and can be caused by very big cache files....

Hi all!

If it helps, I've created a specific tutorial for the installation of this package for use on VATSIM, along with a pre-generated VMR I've put together too.

Quick question.  What exactly is the 'aircraft types' tab for in model magic?  For example, if I go through and put in the custom model numbers for say the 737 8 or 9 Max, neither still show up in the 'aircraft types' tab.  Is that an issue?  Or is that tab simply for when you'd use an airplane model to represent another aircraft that you don't have a model for?

I have tons of addons, mostly sceneries (800 GB). I use the addon manager (not for AIG yet, but for the others) to activate them as needed, usually on a per-country base (I mostly fly VFR).

I thought it clever to activate all addons using the linker before installing AIG for AIG to know which airports I (potentially) have. Maybe that was not as smart as I thought? Is there a suggestion?

Hello, I recently found this add-on for MSFS and I seem to have a little problem.

Long summary: I followed BobbyFurzzy's tutorial on how to set everything up, yet Traffic Controller doesn't load any aircraft. First off, I open the app as administrator, select MSFS version and let it load. I don't know if it's me or anything but it loads slower than MSFS and I don't have the worst PC nor the best in the world. Now, when I go to settings, select the appropriate location for the 'AIGAIM-OCI' directory (which is D:\Downloads\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\Community\aig-aitraffic-oci-beta for me) , press Save Settings, reset TC but nothing happens. I tried redownloading TC, changing airports and even changing liveries in the game but still nothing. I do, however, see ground vehicles only. Any ideas?

Short summary: I watched a tutorial on YT and followed everything he said. When I spawn in, I don't see any traffic, however, there are ground vehicles showing up only. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,
has anyone else had a problem logging into AVSIM with the app? I have script errors and even when entering the login and password correctly, I remain logged off
I am however well logged on the site (since I am writing to you right now) but I tried with google and internet explorer while keeping the connection and I still have this problem: unable to log in to avism via the application
Thanks for your help

Also make sure "autoinject traffic" is set in the TC or inject manually. And as above: if you have "autoinject" checked you MUST open TC only after loading your flight, otherwise it will "inject into nothing" and get stuck.

The site is not AVSIM but AVSIM library, which use two different logins. That's your problem I guess.
