AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS - quick first steps (video)

To those with long startup times of the AIG manager:

While installation wasn't really fun, AIG is running fine in MSFS now, thus I think I did it basically right.

However, if I start the AIG manager after having all flightplans installed, it takes around 50 min (with 95% CPU load) on my system to successfully finish (yes, admin rights plus command line properly set). Thus, you might try waiting a little longer than 10-15 min.

Of course, the AIG manager isn't required to run for injecting traffic into MSFS after initial installation, just for administration.

Kind regards, Michael

Stuck on "load OCI data"? Me too (not to confuse with #metoo).
Kill it via the task manager and start again (last time it took me 5 tries, which is annoying, but as you said, you don't use AIM daily).

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Indeed. I suppose, some people (like me) use the same login credentials for both and thus think it's the AVSIM forum login.

Kind regards, Michael

Yep, most time goes for "load OCI data".

It can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for AIM to load

Here's another video guide someone posted on the AIG Discord.

Good evening,

a short question: is there a way AIGTC getting started automatically when the sim is ready for flying? I tried it loaded via addonlinker but this method didn't work: the linker loads it immediately and this seems way too early. So I have to start the tool manually. Is there a known way to have it automatically?

According to what I read, you can load it together with the sim, but must have the "auto infection" option off. Only switch injection on after the flight is loaded.

Not my finding but someone else's. I tried it only once but it seems to have worked.

Kind regards, Michael

I'm sure Kai-Uwe is talking about being able to have the AI traffic in the sim without even starting the injecting tool ATC, or at least adding an auto-start-with-sim option. Otherwise, it does not mean much whether the automatic or manual injection is being carried out by the user once you have to fire up the ATC tool.

Thanks Michael.

Yes, sarp_79 is right, I'm looking for a simple autostart of AIGTC together with the sim. At the moment I start the tool when the sim is loaded complete. But sometimes I forgot loading the tool (because the sim works in fullview-mode, where I don't see open tasks) and I wonder why I can't see any traffic. Then I remember that I forgot starting the tool. Not a big matter, it would just be more comfortable for me. By the way, FSUIPC is loaded via addonlinker too and this works perfectly.

hello @Kai-Uwe Wei

The start-up from addon-linker needs a complete overhaul 😜, When developped it was something very simple, then a few options were added (like 'wait until the simulator is ready') but those optoins are applied to all program, so all programs are launched at the same time either immediately or after a delay, there should be settings for each addons individually but it requires a complete rewrite... so many things to do ,so little time 🙊

the 'wait for simulator is ready' setting waits until simconnect becomes available before launching the programs,  this is good enough for the majority of tools (like FSUIPC) but unfortunately not for others because simconnect becomes ready a bit before you are in the main menu. It should be possible to detect when the user-plane is loaded and launch some programs (like AIG-TC) only when that happens (that's probably possible and not too hard). Before doing that, individual setting for each programs would be mandatory because it would be too weird to have all programs launched that late.

That being said, AIG-TC should be able to inject even if you start it before the simulator and autoinject=on, i'm sure Kaiii will fix that.

🍻🥂

So my main use for this is on Vatsim. Should I download "ALL" of the airlines FP's ?? It says the livery's and model matching is in those downloads ??

IS IT SAFE TO MOVE the aig\airtraffice-oci-beta folder out of the Community folder now I have downloaded what I want, so I can control it with MSFS addon linker? I am sure I read something about this but cannot remember which thread it was in.
