I was just wondering if they turned a thousand hard core flight simmers loose on the ramp and said whichever plane you touch first is yours for free.  How many would go for the F-18 Super Hornet, the PC-6 Porter, the NX-Cub, the Pitts S1S, or the futuristic Volocopter?

Which would you claim?  Tough choices, no second thoughts once you start running.  You have 10 days to think about it.

Regards,

Ray

I have no interest in any of them, I have Milviz Porter and I doubt that Asobo's version is better.

System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I

Asobo should fix the default planes that I purchased with the Premium Deluxe version i.e. the 787 before doing any new ones. It is a pet peeve of mine and bothers me.

They should leave plane making to 3rd parties and focus on the core sim.

My humble opinion, of course.

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

As I am not over keen on tail draggers, I will give the NX-cub a go, and try the Super Hornet just to see how Asobo are now handling supersonic flight.

My thoughts are the same as Ixoye on the Porter, but it will be a good freebee for people who never purchased the Milviz one.

I am more looking forward to some of the changes to the flight model and having a play with DX12.

Then of course, to coincide with COP26, the tree visual distance adjustment will be done away with entirely, with the whole planet in MSFS being pre-populated with the 3 Trillion trees that actually exist - no more pop-up, and just think of all the virtual CO2 they will be absorbing!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Probably the Daher.  This would be highest fastest cost return.  Because everyone on this forum would be in a 'immediate sale' mode due to aircraft ownership issues and cost.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

I am happily waiting for the VANs RV14 to arrive, and really not that interested in yet more Asobo aircraft that I would likely not fly..

Maybe I'm just a snob simmer but I absolutely don't care about default planes, not even a tiny bit. Just boring, middle-of-the-road INOP fests.

Defaults wit mods can be great.

I wonder if we have access to the flight_model and engines files

Not a huge fan of tail draggers and the Volocopter is a bit sci-fi for my taste. Looking forward to trying the PC-6 and the F-18, but I can't see them pulling me away from the Piper Arrow for too long.

Currently circumnavigating the world in a mix of Cessna and Piper aircraft.

Wishlist; Honeycomb Bravo, Honeycomb Charlie.

If not, the really good devs that are making the really good mods will have a much more difficult task.

You kind of contradicted yourself. I mean, I get where you’re coming, but the default planes are still light years ahead of any other vanilla sim.

Is there a RV14 for MSFS in the pipeline?  Hope so.

Doesn't it have to go up before it comes down?  Whatever it is you are referring to.
