Odd thing when I first started it up, all the control levers ( T,P,M) were mapped opposite to what it should be, so on all 3 axis #1 on my throttle quad would control #2 and #2 would control #1, had to make a profile specific to the 337 to fix it, not really sure how that got through before release lol. 

Yeah that was confusing for my first flight lol.

using reverb g2.  i've had trackir since the very first version and it was great but VR provides more immersion as it's 3d and literally 'in your face.'  of course, more pixels to render so have to somewhat compromise but still the only way to go.  FOV isn't quite there yet so 2-3 gens to go, shouldn't hold back as time on earth is limited.

No idea so I go with ROP

If one can get used to wear that scuba mask while flying, which I cannot.

Yep...that's always been my problem with VR. I find after about 15 minutes I can't wait to get the thing off my head lol. When they get to the stage where you just have to wear a pair of glasses I may reconsider.

I'm glad she's finally here and I was always going to buy her straight away but I can't help feeling slightly disappointed. The interior textures look a bit too much like a straight port from FSX to me. Can't put my finger on it but its missing something. The panel is too bright maybe. At first I thought the cockpit lights were on or the sun was behind me. 

She handles well and looks stunning from the outside but when I first loaded her up, flying from the cockpit I just didn't get the instant 'wow' I was expecting. 

This one brings back memories.  I was a student pilot and managed to score a back seat ride in the first flight of the one that Schutts bought at Moorabin, with the instructor and a dca examiner.  

It was never a popular aircraft except that it enabled a multiengine rating without having to handle yaw on engine out.  Not shure how well they have ported their fsx one over.

 

Flying it now from Sweden to the UK, fly's nicely, handles very well, AP works ok, inside and outside look great and at £20 not a bad buy.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they do this for their entire FSX/P3D aircraft catalogue, would be a quick money grab!

what good would that be for except for the 337 ?

In real life you need a multiengine rating for dual engined aircraft. This requires demonstration of handling of engine failure.  When an engine fails on normal twin engined aircrafts the aircraft will yaw towards the failed engine.  In the Skymaster the aircraft does not yaw.  Handling the yaw on engine failure well is one of the signifigent items to pass. On the skymaster there is no yaw.  It was possible to get a multiengine rating on Skymaster without showing this yaw handling so many people started using it as a shortcut.
