Collection of real life 737 pilots opinions on PMDG 737 here

I'll just add that 737 driver confirmed that performance / FPS is equal to the FBW and CRJ (comments in the first video on youtube: "fps are really good, they are about the same as the FBW Airbus or the Aerosoft CRJ. If those run on your system then the PMDG 737 for MSFS will as well.")

Yup, also avgeek feels it's "a lot better and smoother" performance and FPS compared to the FBW A320, starting at this point in his video: https://youtu.be/x-inotgtCis?t=5655

Great Idea @abrams_tank!

Not a fan of MSFS2020 at all, but always happy for the flightsim community to keep growing on.

Really what don't you like about it

I'll be doing some streaming with it when released.  Thus far it looks pretty good. I'd love to see a streamer do an Aiii approach, but so far have only seen primary and IMC modes of the HGS.

@abrams_tank, Thank you for having taken the time to create this thread, and gather very impportant content around comments from RW 737 drivers !

I have already watched a few of the videos, skipping cruise phase mostly, and it was important for me to get a better idea about the state of this PMDG new MFS product.

It looks great, graphically and even if not fully featured even systems and flight dynamics wise.

I believe there was a time when MS FS = Stable Platform , for the good and for the not so good ( lack of updates / new features / a dynamics support team @ MS ), but MFS is really a new concept and one that users and developers have to learn to adapt to.

It's a fast moving Project, with a talented team behind it, even if they appear not to follow the right track at times ( they have to shift between a good deal of areas and the overall end result is, I have to admit, mostly positive ! ).

Stupid question, don´t kill me please. But we´ll able to fly with world map routes or we have to program all the things?
I´m  not a hardcore simmer and i´m happy with bredok3d version, but will consider get this if someone who only load a plan on world map and fly, can enjoy this.
Thanks in advance.

You will have to program the FMC with a route.  The PMDG 737 does allow for a lot of simplification and bypassing many of the pre-flight checks so you can get going very quickly but you will have to program the FMC with a route and some weights to complete the flight.

I was watching the video that was posted here with a RW First Officer flying in Germany and all I kept thinking was maybe 0.5% of flight simmers will actually go through all of the pre-flight checks and fly this thing like a real line pilot.

Paul, I don’t think so. No other PMDG Boeing let’s you do this.

Fwiw, you don’t have to program an actual route. If you’re feeling lazy, just select destination airport and corresponding ILS runway, and then get rid of the route disco in the legs page, and you now have a valid route in about four keypresses. I’m not proud of it, but I’ve done this quite a few times when I’m pressed for time!

I watched two of the videos and I was thinking that in the time to properly setup a flight, I could almost complete one of my normal 1 hour flights in another aircraft. I don't have the time or interest anymore to do a proper preflight in a 737.
