FENIX NDA lifted at 1200Z!!!!!!!!!

Now watching the streams, from what Fabio said, it seems that there is an incompatibility problem with the Toolbar Pushback, which decreases the Fenix A320 performance.

Reading the comments on flightsim.to, this sounds more like a problem with Toolbar Pushback than with Fenix. People reporting fps drops using it with other addons.

Seems like Toolbar pushback is dropping FPS and causing stutters for some people.

I'm just going to say, it's completely unnecessary to code in the ability to move apps around  in the EFB, like you can move your app icons around on your IPad.  Completely unnecessary.  But Fenix did it anyways 😆

hard to disagree with that haha. It would be something to raise eye brows if the package was heavily lacking in other areas lol

I notice some wear and tare, which I like. Does this mean no Marketplace availability?

It was claimed that to sell on the Marketplace, it must be factory fresh.

It's not gonna be on marketplace because it comes with it's own executable. Can't have external programs on there.

Yup and that will be Microsoft's loss but I understand why they have that policy

I think the Fenix A320 installs a service, or an executable process of some sort. Somebody had a picture of Chewwy showing a Fenix process running in the Windows Task Manager.  My guess is, this service or process could be (could be - just an educated guess of mine) related to ProSim.  Unfortunately, add-ons from the marketplace cannot run an executable.  IMO, there could be all sorts of security ramifications if MSFS ran an executable created by a 3rd party vendor, so I think the marketplace not allowing executables to be run is probably a good design decision.

Where would this plane be sold? In their own webpage? The reason I'm asking is, that there doesn't seem to be any store on their webpage, currently.

I don't think I can bring myself to watch any of these streams because I guess I'm old and grumpy and just flat out adverse to the streamers' "personas".  It's agony sometimes.  I'd just as soon kiss a wookie than get through more than 2 minutes of Chewwy's content (like the way I used a Star Wars line reference there?).   Another streamer seems nice but their voice is so high pitched, my dogs go crazy.   And et al, et al.  I'm not really denigrating these people; I'm just not their audience.

Although I love the guy, I can't even watch Q8s streams any more (although I do watch his prerecorded vids) because 50% of the stream time is thanking people for donations and welcoming people with names like "Superflyer Bob" for joining the stream.   I'm old, intolerent and can't tune into the young dudes content..... is all.  😄

What I am looking forward to is anecdotes, feedback and reviews from fellow AVSIM members here.   Although I could be one of those people; as I think the apparant quality of this means it could be a day one purchase!*

*As long as Aamir removes that Chewwy logo from the coffee cup holder.   Really, that has to go.

I don't think there is a need to mention someones voice - It's a bit harsh and would probably considered an insult. I don't know why all these threads often get derailed into some sort of "Oh I hate twitch" and "I don't like XYZ on twitch because of ABC" like enough is enough of these posts.

Just wait for the videos of when it's released by people you do like and make your own judgement from there.

You mean there is absolutely no logical connection between a person doing online streaming and the voice of the person? Like you cannot say that the voice is too high? This is an insult? Really?

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Was there a need to mention about their voice? Probably not.

It's all about the details... engines windmilling speed based on wind along with the sounds/rattling of the blades also based on that, very nice.
