What I mean is that you do not have to leave the sim to do anything. Everything that you need is there and included in the plane. What I'm referring to is the EFB. Gone are the days where you need a separate app running for each and every thing. I used to have to open PFPX for my flight planning, and TOPCAT for my calculations, and so forth. Having to TAB out back to the desktop and back into the sim really kills the immersion for me. The only thing that I wish was part of the EFB or sim, would be a full-fledged and feature packed flight planner like SimBrief that either shows up as an app on the EFB or built into the core of MSFS. I just want a sim that has everything included so that we do not need to rely on 3rd party apps. Thanks to KatiePilot for working on the EFB. You have done such an incredible job. The details are above and beyond what most of us have ever imagined. I really hope you can put the envelope further and add more useful apps on that thing to make the experience even better. Not trying to be negative, but EFBs have been there for years in the PMDG and FSL aircraft. Granted the PMDG one has not been pretty, but the takeoff perf was working great. And the one from the FSL was pretty good, too. Anyway this is hardly the first time we have an take off perf calculator on an EFB. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

But the one thing that sets this EFB apart from others is the sheer attention to detail. Not only should an EFB be functional, but also have a great user friendly UI to complement it. That's where this one shines. May 17, 20224 yr She's a Steve Jobs of EFB's in home flight simulators! In all seriousness it really does looks slick and I'm super excited to put my mouse on it. I am also trying really hard not to bring PMDG into this thread, so I'm going to leave now. ugh. Jacek G. FENIX efb does look really good but i really like how the efb is laid out in the fwb a320 i can get to most things in one click and the text is easy to read ... it just really needs a take off calculator. the efb in the Flightfactor a320 in xp also was the first one i saw with a really good design so the fenix one doesnt seem too revolutionary - Anthony Price
May 18, 20224 yr One issue she'll have when she goes back to work IRL is the EFB won't be as easy to use and pretty as the one she made.
May 18, 20224 yr i have to say the EFB looks nice, but for me the transitions and animations are way to slow, makes the whole thing look slow. Hope they will give you an option to disable animations completly, i don't need it fancy i need to get to the stuff i want quickly...
May 18, 20224 yr Exciting times in MSFS definitely. It's one of those moments we are in where the needle moves. I'm staying on airbus for some time, from what I have seen. May 18, 20224 yr What makes the Fenix EFB so special is that is completely integrate airline operations into the sim. Meaning you don't have to 'leave' the sim. It makes it a 'complete package'. Kudos to KatiePilot and the Fenix team to have this vision! Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
May 18, 20224 yr "Amazing and revolutionary" - are you a beta tester and/or were you given a prerelease candidate for evaluation?

The only difference when we have it in front of us is the option to click whatever we want whenever we want 😂 The videos show pretty much every aspect and feature of the tablet.... I think you're just bored.

Disabling the animations probably wouldn't mean you would get to your stuff any quicker. They are usually there to give more loading time whilst at the same time providing immediate response to the user's input.

The EFB looks amazing but amazing EFBs have been around for a while, however the Fenix one seems to be much more feature rich than any other we’ve seen. Edited May 18, 20224 yr by Ridvan Celik
