May 23, 20224 yr Hi All I've noticed it's exactly the moment after you get taxi clearance from MSFS ATC, then the pushback options are grayed out and shows "Tug Unavailable". Edited May 23, 20224 yr by Nuromantik
May 24, 20224 yr Hi, In assistance settings turn off all assisted options manually especially assisted rudder than save it. I think fenix is disabling them automatically but they are trying to work somehow at the background and causes this issue. Start a flight and run the APU. You will see NW Strg Dis. message( green).

That's not unreasonable though. the pushback and start happens before the clearance to taxi in the flow of things that happen on a flight. I'm using Pilot2atc for my ATC, and toolbar pushback for PB, and it works with the Fenix for me, sort of. I can plan the path, get it started, and right near the end, the tug disconnects while the push is ongoing. the plane still ends up where I planned it, but the last bit of interaction with the tug is cancelled, just sort of "throws" the plane where it needs to be. I'm not especially bothered. my plane is pushed back and in the right spot, but that's not how it's supposed to go down, had that behavior 3 out of 3 flights in the Fenix.

Pierre Yes, you can use it normally, BUT when it connected you HAVE to click on the EFB „start“ pushback, otherwise it won‘t move. After that pushback should do it‘s job as assigned by PBE For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

You only ask for Taxi clearance, after pushback and engine start. David Murden. May 24, 20224 yr PB works flawlessly for me since day one. I really hate addons for this type of thing, so really happy about the functionality from within the aircraft. May 24, 20224 yr On release, pushback wouldn't work at all for me. Since the update, it now works 100% of the time, using the integrated pushback controls in the EFB. 🙂 But.... my pushback speed is 0.3mph. Parking brake definitely off, NWS disconnected, etc. Might be the bug that Aamir refers to above. Still, great to have it working, and I used the extra pushback time to check my numbers before the flight! May 24, 20224 yr I have not managed to get pushback to work to date with the Fenix A320, the option is available in the EFB but when activated the tug driver drives around in circles then finally looks at me and shrugs his shoulders before giving up. The same happens when activating via the ATC menu. All other airliners do not have this issue. Specs: 11900K (5ghz), 64GB ram 3600mhz, RTX 3080 ti
May 24, 20224 yr After deleting the PB toolbar Mod. I tried another one which is PB helper, when I get PB clearance from MSFS ATC the following happens: 1- The PB function at EFB gets grayed out and becomes nonfunctional 2- When I press the TUG option at the helper tool, the tug moves and come closer to aircraft then returns back to hid under the Jetway. 3- The only way I can get the plane to push back is to release the parking break, then to push the TUG button of the helper tool menu, and quickly push the reverse button at the helper tool menu. That will give me about 15 to 20 feet of reverse push, then I will repeat again until I am back enough to take hard left or right turn without colliding with any airport object. 4- One other issue I noticed; at the last screen with the large yellow button at bottom right appear; before the flight starts the plane shows without landing gear. It's floating on the air? At earlier SIMs it meant something went wrong with loading the aircraft? Also worth mentioning I had 2 CTD at tow consecutive days after 10-15 minutes of TO. Alaa A. May 24, 20224 yr On 5/20/2022 at 7:11 PM, RichieFly said: My experience is that it depends on the gate/airport. Some places are fine and others are not working or barely work. It is the location where the airplane starting. Sometimes the default spawn location does not line up with a spot that the tug can pick up so none of the push back tools will work correctly. Restart that flight and before you do anything at all, slew the airplane back a couple of meters. Try it again after doing so. Do NOT slew the airplane after you do anything for the flight in the EFB or the motion from the slew will make the plane think it has departed. The green oval with the departure time will change to a blue oval that says Departed. The problem is, if you use MSFS ATC then the normal flow of operation is that you need to get ATC taxi clearance before you are assigned a take-off runway. And you need to know the take-off runway before you can complete your flight plan (which is obviously before pushback). So it's like a catch-22 'chicken before egg' situation.
May 24, 20224 yr Hey guys, meanwhile is there any good workaround? I can't fly with the fenix on Vatsim with that buggy Pushback. However with the PMDG737 i have no issues with pushback. I tried with and without Ambitious Toolbar Pushback. As soon I click the option in the EFB TUG it is grayed out.
May 24, 20224 yr I can push the bus back, but somehow, after an engine is started, the tug releases me without warning. I estimate the plane was pushed back only 70 m before being left alone. May 24, 20224 yr I wonder if is something to do with the panel states, I use as default panel state, turnaround with GPU connected. However after loading the flight, the plane is all running even the engines at the gate, the ATC clears for taxi alone and then my default panel just loads in turnaround mode with GPU, don't know if that confuses any sequence.
