Instead of your incessant complaining about a free application the developer is putting a lot of effort it, and leaving 1 star reviews on his page, perhaps use that energy to ask the developer on the same page how to change the port. He might even hear the feedback and add that option into the software itself.

I was explaining why it doesn't work for me, and a few others on the comment section of the app. Apparently you didn't care for me to explain that, so just skip reading my posts.

There have been several comments similar to mine on his page, and he hasn't responded to any of them.

I've never seen roads with names on them in flight simulator.  Other than the road across the cloud, it appears to me that the clouds are between you and the ground.  The dark spots are shadows from the clouds.  Are you sure this is from MSFS 2020.  If so, I would like to know how to get the names to appear on the roads.  Would be a big help, although unrealistic, it finding my way around.

But to answer the original question, I have never seen this in the Google Map Enhancement mod.

Probably the image is from Google Maps or Google Earth.

If I’m flying VFR and need the assistance of a map with my position I use the Navigraph toolbar option. It’s a pretty basic map but you get the names of major roads, villages, towns and cities.

No, of course it isn't.    You wanted a picture showing what we are talking about.   There you go.   It happens in the sim but im not going on an all day hunt to find an example for a screenshot!

It's there in ALL map providers sources.    Asobo do mask most of them out in the image processing for the sim, I suspect Google clean up a lot of their data as well   It's rare to see them, far less of it  in the imagery than when i was knocking out ortho many years ago for X-plane   So far with the Google/New Bing mod I've not seen any either.

They probably won't have to be switched off. Just follow the instructions he gives, or the code shown in the earlier post to discover the conflicting app. Yes, it would be great if his app allows you to change the port, or show the app causing a conflict - but even the great Microsobo can't do everything even in two years. Give the mod developer a break because the app has made a lot of progress since release.

It took me just 10 minutes to find the conflicting app and I know nothing about scripts! I just followed the developers help text that is either on his flightsim.to page or github - I installed it when it was first released so can't remember the procedure myself.

It is worth a bit of effort to get this working. I fly all over the USA, UK & Europe and I am constantly amazed at how pin sharp the textures are. Textures are pin sharp into the distance and Rarely see any textures loading.

Even if you don't like the Google textures, the app has an option to use the latest Bing Maps that are better than default.
