My wife buys me MSFS aircraft and scenery for my birthday.  As I have bought a lot recently, she is going to buy me this.  I am running a little ahead, as this will be for my birthday in 2024!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I have just given this a quick flight.  I can't help but compare it to the FSX version which I loved.  I also know the island quite well anyway.

Obviously this is much better in detail.  Crisp and sharp, with detail much better around the airport.
The monastery is there on approach (I couldn't see the cats!) and even the little bar off to the side where I have had many a drink.
The radar station on the hill to the left on approach is there, and has the red light visible of a night time.  Night lighting was good in general.

The shipping traffic is good from the harbour.  The boat you take to Albania is there, and the ships have nice wakes.  There are also a few yachts and speedboats moving about around the island, which makes it seem populated and active.

I could easily make out a hotel I stayed at in Agios Georgios, and the surrounding buildings.  Sidhari looked accurate with the curve of the beach etc.
The cliffs and rocks around the coastline are done very well, and Corfu town is just as I remember it, with the two towers and the fort etc.

All in all, I like it and will fly it a lot.

There are a few 'bugs' that I am sure will be attended to with a quick fix...
There are a few rocks floating in the air off the coast of Sidhari.
I don't like the way the LOD is working on the sunbeds on the many beaches - they pop in a bit.
On approach to runway 34, one of the PAPI lights was obscured on the right hand side (during a night approach).

And finally, no geese in the water around the airport (as in the FSX version ). It's a shame, but I can live with this.

I bought it and am loading up MSFS and am excited.  I need to slow down though this is getting expensive!😀

Has anyone found a way to get inside the airport in drone mode or do you have to look through the glass?

I can't help but have to make a comparison between this exceptional FlyTampa Corfu island product (20€) and Mauritius released by FSDG (25€), FlyTampa lives and works in 2022 and FSDG in 2010!

Fantastic job by FT thinking out of the (airport) envelope, and lousy lazy delivery by FSDG at a stupidly high price.

CPU = 12900K / GPU = Nvidia 3090 VRAM 24 GB / RAM = 64 GB / SSD = 2 TB 980 PRO PCle 4.0 NVMe™ M.2,

Among the long-known developers, Fly Tampa is still top notch (maybe together with FlightBeam) while some others like ORBX have lost a bit of reputation imo.

It's been almost two years since I asked on their forum and still no sign of "in development." At least Verticalsim is taking on the project for now. We should have a version of an enhanced KTPA sooner than later.
