GSX Pro - Top or Flop?

Really interesting explanation of the work around you’re using @virtuali to make jetways work as much as possible with GSX.  I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do with the SU12 SDK.

TBH, just want a pushback utility.

If you don't want any of the fancy stuff GSX does, this is a perfectly fine pushback utility.

I still use it myself when not fly commercial jets.

Still flying GA for now in MSFS. Once I move up to commerical operations, TBH, just want a pushback utility. I think FSCrew has a pushback for MSFS. I don't need any of the other stuff. I had GSX in P3D and it was good but just never used most of the stuff that came with it like catering, boarding/deboarding, bag loading, etc....

I only do commercial operations using A Pilot's Life v2, PACX and GSX Pro, with the PMDG 738 and AS CRJ700 and they all play together very well.  I input my routes manually and it's great to have the plane PAX and cargo loading while I'm tending to getting everything set for a good flight.  I've got them all tied to be well synced.  Definitely adds to the total realism of simulating commercial operations.  I like the pushback procedures as well and the animations are decent. APLv2 scores all flights which helps me stay focused on execution from gate to gate.  I had GSX in P3D and it's similar here only better in many ways.

Some of the available add on airliners have built in pushback tools. I almost only fly the FBW A320 and the Headwing A330 (both based on the same system software)
and they have a pushback utility integrated into the EFB. I think the Fenix also do (from what I have seen on streams), not familiar with the other available airliners.

It's abandoned and has a severe memory leak. It's also worse than GSX as a pure pushback tool in that you have to draw your path and exact position instead of telling the driver "nose left".

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Vanilla push back still works well for me it does what I tell it to do.

You are literally unable to get pushed back onto any specific taxiline unless you tell ATC to "turn left" at the exact right time by pure chance.

Does it really matter? Are you willing to risk CTDs or having to pay for the privilege to get pushed back onto a taxi line?

Do you have evidence that this addon generates a memory leak that significant impacts performance?

Because I have been using it on every flight and see no major issues. Disconnect parking brake. then "steer" the plane with the rudder pedals to achieve nose right or nose left.

What do you mean by "evidence"? This is not a court session. All that matters is the actual user experience. If it doesn't happen for you or you don't notice it, fine, but it does happen to a lot of users as you can read yourself in the comment section over there.
As for the impact on performance it will depend on how much overhead you have. If e.g. you use low settings, no AI traffic and a default plane combined with FPS limited to 30 you will most definitely never feel any impact on performance.

Doesn’t FSCrew have a payware pushback software for MSFS?

Pushback Express. A very lite version of gsx. You can control the pushback better than default and have basic interaction with ground crew.

A worthwhile alternative if you don't need all the functionality of the other payware option. Goes on sale fairly frequently, so even better then.

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

Yes and it works very well.

That is good to hear. I may pick it up on the next sale. I bought GSX on the first day but with all the initial issues I uninstalled it. I did try it again a month or two later but something about its rigid scripting just did not engage me. I prefer to just imagine the process than be subjected to the identical experience over and over again. Not only the interactions and voices; I tend to do cargo flights in the 738 and after 3 flights I got tired of seeing the exact same cargo loaded onto the aircraft each time. This sim-connect issue -- while not the responsibility of GSX -- is just another reason I have not reinstalled it. I don't know, maybe GSX is a product trying to do too much or trying to do it too early before the sim itself sufficiently developed, but in the end I just could not "get into it".

I have been looking for an alterative push back utility that basically works. So I will look into this one.

I can relate to this. It's kinda strange/annoying to see an Airbus A320 being filled with hand loaded bags/suitcases rather then containerized cargo which is used on the A320.
However not sure if it's a limitation related to the model since the Headwind A330 uses containerized cargo,
