Sim Update 10 Release Next Week?

Featured Replies

I have read elsewhere that the final release of Sim Update 10 has been postponed till next week. If correct, those of us like me not brave enough to try the beta version will have to continue being patient. I cannot see this mentioned anywhere on here so has this been an official announcement?

There's no official announcement at all of the release date of Sim Update 10. We can all speculate to make time go by more quickly 😉

Or....we can continue to appreciate all of the fine details in your So.Cal airport sceneries...and wish the clock moves slower. 😉

I suspect (suspect!) it may be Tuesday. Reason being is that historically Nvidia releases driver updates on a Tuesday, and SU10 is kinda dependent on the new Nvidia driver…

I think next Tuesday also.  They have released on a Friday occasionally (although normally a hotfix), but I hope they don't this time as we get very little support over the weekend if something is wrong with the update.

The longer it takes the more bugs are ironed out.  A delay is actually a good thing.

There are all sorts of wild guesses, speculations, fantasies and delusions over at the official forums. Almost amusing sometimes, but mostly tiring to read 🙂

The fact is that there has not been any update on this after the development update last Thursday. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/blog-september-8th-2022-development-update/541529

The full release of Sim Update 10 is on its way, slated for next week! While we are pinpointing the exact day of release, our team is currently adding in our final changes and updates for SU10. Beta users can expect one final test build coming shortly. We have also been closely working with NVIDIA regarding our DX12 optimizations and we plan to release SU10 in conjunction with an NVIDIA driver update that will help one of the first issues our Beta users discovered (graphical glitches and artifacts).

Sometimes community managers post in the various threads, but I'm about 8 hrs behind on the beta forum. A guy has to sleep, eat and go to work as well 😅

They want to release it with an Nvidia driver update, so maybe it’s on Nvidia’s end

Is it time to go "team Red" so we can finally get a word not allowed SU update. I'm due for a new GPU anyways.

Limited excitement for me. Looking forward to trying DX12 and DLSS but not looking forward to all of the addons it is likely to break.

People have been running the beta for weeks, most if not all addons work or have been made to work by now.
