And the NXi doesn't yet have in-cockpit keypad support.

Yet? 🙂

Or you could wait and see if Flight1 ever releases for MSFS.

I think they threw in the towel, well, making their own aircraft that is.  They of course still publish them.

I really hope so my friend, but despite i can't predict the future, i'm really skeptical about this. They are already working on a new plane even before launching the mustang, and its making me very worry. If they are real serious developer, they will have to put aside the hawker project and work really hard on the mustang, before releasing a new plane, otherwise the name of the company will be comprimised, at least to me.

totally agree time will tell, until then im off the fly the Hjet and the PMDG 737

Very much agree, hoping that this doesn't turn into a new "King Air" fiasco, will hold off and see what is or isn't improved in it before I buy. Would be good to have a jet with the NXi in it though.

Looks great,

???

if this "looks great". what does Carenado look like then? Plus Carenados are always meticulously "tested by real pilots" 😊. tested maybe, but what was their verdict? we'll never find out. 😊

very nice.

On my old system with 4 screens this is a perfect quick plane.

Frame rate is as good as any plane, one of the best actually.

It feels right, I have never flown a Mustang, so take that with a grain of salt.

It works perfectly with AirManager, I just loaded the BN2 panel and it works great, I will customize it as a Mustang panel from some AirManager instruments and possible build a few custom ones.

Testing out in new Canada was a blast.

What I love best is the view from this plane in 3 screen mode. The HJet sucks at this, just my opinion in my sim setup.

It is so nice to manage G1000's on my touch screen and with my hardware switches and dials (Knobster and LeoBodnar board switches) touch screen support is great as well.

This compliments my other fav planes as a very fast short field capable jet with great view of WX and scenery. Very easy to fly IFR as well and good up to 41,000'.

Pushes all my buttons. I don't spend time looking for small imperfections in modeling, I enjoy the over all look and feel. But most of all this has such great capabilities as a mid range plane. This the BN2 and the Twin Otter and the 310, 414 are my favs in this sim, helis are great as well, more of those coming.

I feel FS2020 is now getting very mature, this is a great addition as a small business jet or Air Ambulance. Fun, Fun, Fun to fly. And on my system it looks great inside and out. The sound is nice as well, IMHO.

I only fly in VR. you can get very close to a model during outside preflight inspections or moving around inside the cabin and cockpit, any imperfections, big or small, would hurt my eyes. with Carenados or the default Citation jets on the other hand, this is extremely enjoyable. nothing there to remind you that this is all only virtual reality. MSFS graphics are superb, MSFS deserves nothing but addons of visual quality at least on par with default aircraft. Howgh, I have spoken said the chief!

Do they have a Discord server or is that for clients only? It'll be interesting to see how this progresses before purchasing.

He is already planning a patch for next week based on feedback in the discord.  This post also had a reply to another quote about working on another plane before this one was released.  The developer, 1 guy remember, has said sometimes he needed a break from the mustang and wanted to have another project to work on, so he started the hawker.  I totally can understand this, sometimes your working on a problem and need to just walk away and work on something else and look at it again with a fresh set of eyes.

This aircraft is not a money grabbing ctrl e model.  the manual is available on the discord and it specifically states IN THE MANUAL it is not recommended to start this plane on the runway, it is strongly recommended to start the plane at the ramp and go through the flows to start it.  The dev has said as working title adds features to the NXi he is going to add them to the mustang to get the mustang version specific NXi as close to real as possible.

Thanks for the Discord link, had been looking for that. Some good info on there, so will be keeping an eye on it to see when/if I will buy it.

Can completely see that it might be a break to work on something that is at a completely different stage of the development cycle, ultimately it's his first (solo) release so time will tell what sort of developer he is.

On my quick look, quick because the sim crashed CTD - not sure if it was the Mustang or not that did it of course (CTD's have been very rare on my system, like 1 every few months) - but the labels on the buttons and instruments shimmer, and cut in and out, strange effect haven't noticed on any other plane before.

Some switches make sounds, some don't. Will have another look, but not off to a great start...

The first release is so critical! The excitement often overrides the proper date to release/publish. Looks like this one was pushed through the door a little early based on the texture flaws for sure and perhaps a couple of other shortcomings stated by others.

I agree.  Did you own the Flight1 Mustang in FSX?  Is this similar or not as detailed?

I have the Flight1 Mustang for FSX and P3D. The Flight1 version had fully operating keyboard, and textures looked very good and it flew great!
