Orbx installer installs everything via add-on method. Third party like Flightbeam did half-baked add-on as files would go into sim_root/effects folders etc when it can be done via add-on method. LM needs to force an approach; do not give too my options as then everyone does what they want. Who knows at what speed LM does p3dv6.x updates? before it was 6 month cycle. The latter is the normal scenery.cfg installation method. Then suddenly, Majestic Software put out an update for their add-on, with installers that include…..v6. With nothing official from LM. I don’t know if I’ve blacked out in the past and I’ve missed some vital information, but if I have, we’ll, please, for gods sake, fill me in.
