If the OP already has Avliasoft EFB, he probably wouldn't need little Nav map, just use Simbrief for flightplans.

He already has & uses both, although I wouldn't really recommend EFB these days, Charts is better is you don't mind the subscription model....

I use LNM every flight, have whether I used Charts or EFB ......

Aivlasoft’s EFB only needs an FMS Data subscription around €30/yr. Charts is around 3 times more expensive.

I don't know if I'd go that far.  If you felt addon airports were needed in p3d, you will still feel they are needed in msfs.  While the default airports are better in msfs, they are A FAR STEP DOWN in quality from the payware.  But I agree with Noel in the sense that it makes time to look around and experience the stock sim first.

Agreed, but WAY more noticeable if you spend any time flying into international airports. The default terminals all look like apartment buildings. I simply won't fly there unless there's at least a cleanup version on FS.to, plenty of other places with beautiful scenery.

I highly recommend the addon linker. I hadn't been using it, and had to spend an hour or two building out folders and stuff for new addons the other night. It's a neat little tool, and importantly, gets you out of that Community folder, so if you need to install large sceneries, photogrammetry for your local city, really anything, you can put it wherever is convenient.

Welcome to MSFS...

So the way I have setup MSFS is not to install it on my C:\ drive, but rather on a partitioned 2TB SSD, with the Partitions being 500GB for the SIM and 1.5TB for sceneries, aircraft etc...

In the 1.5TB partition I have created 03 folders "Addons01", "Addons 02", "Addons03"... I also have "Addons04" on a mechanical HDD this is where I store anything that may cause excessive READ/WRITE cycles... I don't like these types of applications on my SSD...

Each "Addon" folder on the SSD contains things like Aircraft, Scenery, Utilities, Liveries, etc... Its up to you as to how you want to catalog the addons... The Addon folder on the HDD is for my AI traffic, such as FSLTL, AIG and MTL...

Now all of these are managed by AddonsLinker, which basically creates "symbolic" links in the sim's /community folder present in the 500GB partition of the SSD...

As for what addons you should have, I think enough has been said in previous posts...

Hope you understand how I setup mine... just my 2 cents...

#1 Make sure you select another location other than default when installing the sim (this only applies for the MS version)

#2 Once installed, go to the content manager and install all available world updates, Working Title G1000 and GNS 430/530 mod. and any other free addon you can find.

#3 Before you start pouring money into it, enjoy it for a few days, then figure out what other addons you may need.

just my 2 cents.

Nope. Install the sim and enjoy. 99% of addons that you bought for P3D aren't needed anymore. This sim will actually put money in your pocket!

Avliafsoft is an outdated piece of legacy software.

Get a full Navigraph subcription. Done and done.

Really? Given it is compatible with MSFS that’s a curious statement. He’s already bought it so only needs an FMS Data subscription costing €30/yr compared to €82/yr for Charts.

That is the most ridiculous statement I have read in a long time.

I have about 7 addon airports, 3 planes, GSX, Accuseason, and PACX all of which have their own installers, so no need whatsoever for addon linker.

Just looked: I have 390 links to different kind of addons.

Even if you have just 10 countries with 3 airports each you have a lot better oversight.
But of course it is no must. On the other side it is freeware ...

I installed add on linker when I got Misty Fjords. Used it just for that, haven't bothered with it since.

For reference in P3D I used

Active sky plus cloud art

Little Nav Map

EFB V2

GSX level 2

Thanks in advance

Good Luck

Reading 100 recommendations from probably 100 people is pointless. Your time would be far better spent looking here and on the MSFS2020 forum for example as to what people say about known good quality add-ons. This questions is asked regularly.

This 100%.  As someone who was in from day 1 (and the beta), I flew for a while without any addons just soaking in the beautiful world that Asobo created.

I may be wrong but it seems Navigraph has entirely removed the navdata option and the only thing available is ultimate. I could be wrong but navigraph sure is hiding the option
