Not doing anything too advanced, I just managed to lock up both FMSes in the Airways page, just by adding an airway...

Yes, same thing for me. I was trying to enter a route by hand and it locked up. All of the other screens in the cockpit became unresponsive too.

Black Square has its niche since no one else has been doing a steam gauge King Air, Bonanza, Baron etc. And the Asobo PC-6 is much worse than the Milviz as I understood. Plus, I believe the Asobo PC-6 was a freebie? People will mostly feel something free is worse than what they pay for. But given two payware aircraft of the same model, most people will wonder why pay more? So competition gets very hard then. And Asobo can "subsidize" a smaller or non-existant profit margin with the income of the Marketplace. Blackbird/Milviz can not.

It cant do RNAV approaches (for now). ILS does not use VNAV but a glideslope and therefore works fine.

Yesterday I was basically just clicking and flipping myself around the cockpit and was not able to break anything (all worked as expected), so please let us know how you broke the aircraft within 2 minutes.

to let the reader get past the opinion and onto the fact.
The fact appears to be that this is a good aircraft model at a good price.
It may even get better and at no additional cost.
In my country, with the discount, it cost £10.74, just about the price of 20 cigarettes.
(Remember them?) 

In my view, there are only two mistakes made here.  One is calling it an 'expert series' aircraft, and the other is lack of a basic manual / instructions.

The aircraft really isn't that bad for the money, and it is obvious that there is a lot of user error going on (mainly due to lack of a manual), but bugs and other omissions will get fixed up I am sure, but never to 100% of course - nobody ever fixes up a release to 100% from what I have seen.

As for MilViz / Blackbird, that is a commercial decision and up to them, but even if they released one at $70, there would still be complaints, especially from the 'carpet isn't right' brigade - I kid you not, someone has criticised this on the MSFS official forum!  

Need some help - Pilot side, 2nd screen from left that has  'TCAS ABOVE in green. How do I change that to TCAS NORMAL?

When I first used the ATR that bottom left of this screen had far more options than I am seeing now.

Can't figure out where they have gone.

Also, anyone found a video on programming the FMS, which, I think, is where many of my Navigation & AP issues are occurring.

PS - still need changing the TCAS help, but TG for Jonathan Beckett, he has put out a "Cold & Dark Start" YT video for the 42-600 & includes programming the FMS in it. I now know where I was going wrong.

It doesn't even have "turns" displayed on ND as far I as I saw on the streams on yt. All legs are segments tied together. It's a feature on WT aircrafts which are free...

You can go full throttle on ENG2 when it's in hotel mode, with the gust lock engaged, and the Nh will go all the way to 100%+ and the plane makes sounds as if the prop is spinning. That was the first two minutes of my experience.

People keep repeating "Oh but it's only $20!!!!" but the fact is, PMDG, a company a fraction the size of Microsoft, offers a study level 737 for just $15 more. MS should come to the table with more than this if they're going to crowd out third party devs with rock-bottom pricing that smaller devs can't achieve.

So this is your "blatantly obvious bug"? A thing only a toddler would even think of doing in a flight deck?

He was talking about the waypoint segments on the ND, which you considered a bug, while it's exactly as in real life.

A toddler wouldn't be able to do this, because it would be physically impossible.

To add about this plane. Price Wonderful lack of manual yeah theres that. And some other things. TBH i really dont give a word not allowed, its a good plane with bells and whistles and should mature with patches of which i am sure will come about. Jeez have you seen the garbage that is bloating the market place and 3rd party sellers lately? And the prices being asked? LMAO. People need to take a back seat have a beer pop a pill and calm down. That is all.
