PMDG update 02/07/23

Featured Replies

It would be nice to have a thread mentioning PMDG without the cheap shots from the usual suspects on issues not related to the topic at hand. We get it, you don't like them - get over it.

Agree.

Almost convinced that these posts get dropped knowing they'll invoke some "drama"

Hate to say it but it really sounds like we're well into the next year for the new navdata format (ie. RNP capable), EFB, and the 777 itself.

I'm sure it will be good when it all eventually drops.

Can’t wait for the 747. Kai Tak, old Thai airlines colours in the MSFS world will be a sight to see …. Times that awesomeness by 1000 in VR.

I can't see such Threads for "PMDG Updates" anymore, again a writing down of words until the end of the world and nothing said about at all..

This company has a word not allowed political strategy that i never will understand, killing us whit a lot of words but there are no real effective updates to the product itself so i give up with this company and never could understand that hype for PMDG and their products.

cheers 🤔

How slowly can you develop an EFB?

PMDG: Yes.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

They're all moving to MFS 😞

Does that mean fs2004 will no longer get updates? This is unacceptable!

🤪

(heck, even MOI moved 100% MFS!!! Whazzupppp with this sim?)

P3D is now becoming a dead sim.....

I think LM doesn't really care about the consumer market either. The whole video they presented at the Flightsim Expo was purely targeted at the military market. To me, that video plainly says they don't care about the small consumers that are using P3D.

LM makes a lot of money from military and commercial uses of P3D, so it makes sense they aren't listening to the consumer market.  Sadly, if you are an individual consumer for P3D, you are getting shafted.

I agree, however I see it as a potential risky move, as Militaries might be enticed by the benefit of training with the rendered "real world" environment of MSFS and move over.

With the new AAU2 update and a somewhat updated Kai Tak in the 40th anniversary why wait?

https://flightsim.to/file/1395/747-8i-thai-airways-star-alliance (close enough?)

They used to be slow and that was ok because they were developing new stuff that has never been done before in such a realistic way (737, 777, 747 for FSX), but nowadays they're just snail speed and the EFB development for whoever can't live without one is just... hilarious. Hope they can catch some speed.

If they're this slow, i wonder what's going to happen with the A330 from FlightSimLabs. 2026 maybe?

why did they exhibit at this consumer market Expo then, purely targeted at the NON-military market?
