July 26, 20232 yr FYI, if you install a new repaint, you lose your hobbs hours, even if you have "set to persistance by livery ( off)" on the tablet.

Would be nice with a built-in function to transfer the hours and aircraft state between liveries. Yes, and what I experienced today, I downloaded and selected the new livery, everything went to zero. Then I reinstalled the livery I had been using with about 30 hours on it, and it now was zero too. Bummer.

Guess for now I'll try to stick to the same livery or the stock liveries.
July 26, 20232 yr It seems for Steam users anyway - The data for the hours are stored in this location: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\a2a-aircraft-pa24\work If you want to see if you have anything there. I found a folder in the Community folder, but I am not going to mess with it. Afraid I might screw something up. Will wait and see if A2A has a solution, I posted on their website.
July 26, 20232 yr Yeah they're gonna need to do something about the liveries, as any livery update could kill your hours to zero 😬 think of an update as a fresh lick of paint, underneath it's still the same machine. I see they responded to you, for everyone else:Well, just keep the 'persistence by livery' setting in whichever position you prefer. With it off, a generic .dat file is used which applies to all liveries (and this is the one which you'll have switched to in your case). With the setting on, each paint scheme will use its own .dat file. In other words, if you reenable this setting, your hours for each livery should be restored unless you overhauled the plane or something. July 26, 20232 yr I posted the livery problem on the A2A Forum and Nick responded with the solution. Well, just keep the 'persistence by livery' setting in whichever position you prefer. With it off, a generic .dat file is used which applies to all liveries (and this is the one which you'll have switched to in your case). With the setting on, each paint scheme will use its own .dat file. In other words, if you reenable this setting, your hours for each livery should be restored unless you overhauled the plane or something. Thanks, Nick I went back to the original livery I had been flying, and got all my hours back. The new livery will have to start at Zero hours. So the generic.dat file starts at zero.
