July 31, 20232 yr This program can be a real POS at times, i get the no cd error on start up and next reboot the sim defaults and wipes out all of my control assignments in SIM, I just could not be bothered re doing them all, why must they make these things so complicated could have at least implemented a controller backup Edited July 31, 20232 yr by Jetman67 Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
July 31, 20232 yr I also had the "please insert game disk" error today. It took me quite a while to repeatedly sign out and in of ms game store and x-box app until it finally worked again. Seems like MSFS has these stupid hickups from time to time ... July 31, 20232 yr I am now battling a 'game will not start' message from the Xbox app. I can't get in at all. Not uncommon apparently, but the list of things to try is quite long. All I did was swap my graphics card and install the latest drivers, and fragile little MSFS has fallen over again! Everything else works fine... COH, Cyberpunk, The Expanse, it's just MSFS. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Drivers leave a lot of registry entries that need the be properly cleaned out. 12 minutes ago, Dominique_K said: one more reason not to swap my 1080 vanilla for a 4090 This.. doesn't make any sense at all. Surprisingly 4090 is the only 40 gen card I would suggest getting if you had the money.

Despite the mighty cost, it's the only one where the performance / specs / price actually line up, unlike its siblings. July 31, 20232 yr Never had any of these issues in 3 years / 1300 hours... but I have the Steam version. I had my logbook wiped with SU5 and SU7 though. It seems that the MS Store version has always been problematic. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

July 31, 20232 yr Must really be difficult being software/game developer these days... Often, users blame the developers/games for being unstable or badly developed, when it's actually their system, which is to blame. System corruption due to virus/malware, corrupt system files, un-updated OS or drivers etc, which is to blame for their issues. But of course, it's never the customers system or actions. It's much easier and convinient, to blame someone else. It must be someone else's fault. Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
