September 4, 20232 yr Do I understand correctly that if you are flying anything other than A2A, that FSRealistic Pro is a no-brainer to enhance the overall experience?
September 4, 20232 yr I think so, yes. Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale
September 4, 20232 yr My own experience is that the value has diminished over time as developers have included more features into the planes themselves. So I would say it depends on the planes you have/use. If I am not mistaken, there is a free trial version at their webpage.
September 4, 20232 yr You can use some of the sounds with A2A as well. System: I ASRock X670E | AMD 7800X3D | 64Gb DDR5 6000 | RTX 4090 | 2TB NVMe | Seasonic Vertex 1000W I LG Ultra Gear 34 UW I
September 4, 20232 yr FSRealistic is a must have from my vantage point. I have relegated it to starting by default when the sim starts on my PC. If you have an airplane that has allot of the extra sounds not found in others you can customize FSRealistic to turn off things like Wind Noise, Ground Role, Buffeting, etc. to name a few. Your settings save with that particular aircraft/livery, so you don't have to keep making the changes every time you use a particular aircraft. FSRealistic is one of those amazing mods released over the history of the franchise I put right up there with FSUIPC for those that remember that utility.🍺 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
September 4, 20232 yr I find FSRealistic to be a gamechanger as far as providing immersion experience. Basically it simulates cockpit vibrations and sounds resulting from engine and airframe vibrations, ground contact and wind effects. The only aircraft that I am aware of that do this "out of the box" are A2A, PMDG and Red Wing (e.g., their Constellation. I use it on everything I fly and if I forget to turn it on, the feeling is that I am flying in an aircraft that is on rails and not in the real world. September 4, 20232 yr Just be very careful about what options you use with FSRealistic: Using GSX, Fenix, and FSR can induce a wheel overheat if you use "Ambient Wind" in FSR. There's also another setting in FSR that can the Fenix to tumble if you don't disable "Low Altitude Turbulence" in FSR. I'm sure there are other conflicts; I've seen a lot of MSFS forum, Avsim, and Reddit posts about minor issues here and there. Ultimately you'll want to find one of the popular "Profiles" for each aircraft you use and start from there, and be ready to troubleshoot bugs. All that out the way, FSR is 100% recommended. You will not regret it. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
September 4, 20232 yr I uninstalled it when I got the Comanche and honestly don't notice its gone if I fly anything else now. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

September 4, 20232 yr 1 hour ago, micstatic said: anybody used it with the Honda Jet by chance? Yes and it really adds to the experience. I tone some of the features down with some of the planes. Love it. The developer apparently is going to work "full time" as the developer for these programs. Their words, not mine. September 4, 20232 yr Author The general take is that there may be a sound effect or 2 that could enhance an A2A aircraft but that the real beauty comes when improving something like the FSW 414C, etc... Improves any aircraft not already tweaked to the hilt with great sound effects.
September 4, 20232 yr I would suspect that adding it to Blacksquare would almost make it perfect. Does anybody know if it works well with BlackSquare. Ron Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
September 4, 20232 yr There are two aspects tp FSRealistic. The first is the head movement which with trackIR enabled I barely notice, but if your stuck in a 2D fixed view looking straight ahead probably adds to immersion. The second is sounds which can be immersive. I must admit the sneezing and coughing and screaming passengers is annoying. I did like the sarcastic comments after a hard landing like "we have definitely landed" or some such, but they seem to have stopped working.
