Happened to me about five days ago. Lasted hours and I was convinced that my install had gone south and I was about to reinstall.

Then it magically fixed itself with no intervention from me.  It’s a Microsoft issue. Just be patient and it will fix itself

Im not surprised. I guess ill just let it run.  

Same here, but.... I just waited 10 minutes and eventually MSFS loaded. I wonder if it will hang again now if I restart MSFS...

Same here, but eventually it loaded and ran. Took maybe 8-10 min

Maybe it was sort of a user experience update... because when loading a flight the backgrounds are all different. I got a Klondike ice scraper boat picture, I think that's new.
