November 8, 20232 yr Gamereactor Sweden had a brief chat with Jorg regarding the release of Nordic world update. Not sure how much I can quote from the article itself (in swedish, linked at the bottom) but some interesting tidbits: Jorg states that some "internal stats" are indicating that nine million players have flown the simulator, which is 4 times the number projected in their initial forecasts (doesn't say when and how these forecasts were conducted so take it with the usual grain of salt) Also, ground detail experience in FS2024 is aimed to rival that of Forza Horizon 5 according to Jorg: "I flew over a woodland area in FS2024 the other day and choose to land at a site where it was possible to - in detail - identify thousands of pebbles under the water of a stream" Link to article ( in swedish) https://www.gamereactor.se/vi-pratar-om-norden-uppdateringen-med-flight-simulator-bossen-jorg-neumann-1258623/ Edited November 8, 20232 yr by SAS443 EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12

November 8, 20232 yr ATC isn't important....whats important is how many pebbles can be rendered 🙂 Kael Oswald 9950X3D/ 64GB DDR5 6200 @ CL30 / Custom Water Loop / RTX 5090 / 3 x 48" LG C4 OLEDs

November 8, 20232 yr It's not called MSFS: Pebbles Edition. We will be in for a treat. 😀 I'm really looking forward to this sim. Matt Webb

We should be grateful that a flight simulator finally has graphics and terrain that you expect with the technology we have available in 2023. Without MSFS, flight simulation technology would still be stuck 10 years in the past. Finally, fight simulation is "modern" again because of MSFS. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Not only can these be re-coloured per region but you can pick 75% or 50% size. No big deal. The Ultimate edition will give you rocks and pebbles to the horizon so you don't get pop-in! On a more serious note, this is one way to judge MSFS2024 when it is released, based on how many add-ons we need or don't need to improve things. I am hoping next to zero if they get it right. November 8, 20232 yr It's honestly kind of funny how binary some simmers are. Like if Jorg talks about the ground detail in FS24, that somehow means that is the only thing that they've focused on. To them, the company consist of a singular jack-of-all-trades team, and that team only does one thing at a time. Then you got the usual crowd that get laser-focused on this excerpt and use it as some kind of "gotcha" that the Asobo teams have their priorities all out of order and of course steer the conversation into the usual squabble. Critical thinking just leaves the door I guess. Anyway, to focus on the subject of the interview, this kind of detail is really exciting to hear and can be really advantageous to some of us VFR fliers that so very much appreciate identifiable landscapes without having to purchase numerous region packs. Eager to hear even more details about FS24.
