I guess that takes as much time as going into the assitance options and switch to "hard" five times. 😄

5 times? Why not just used the pre-set switch at the top of the assistance page?

Right! Having tapwater in the sink is over rated too. Go outside to the well pump and give the handle five hard primes and there you are!

Whether it takes 5 seconds or 5 hours to change the Assistance Settings is not the point. The user should not have to do that every time, and therefore it needs to be corrected for the release build.

Why be apologists for Asobo over what is clearly a bug? Whether it takes 5 seconds or 5 hours to change the Assistance Settings is not the point. The user should not have to do that every time, and therefore it needs to be corrected for the release build.

Absolutely, Asobo has no excuse for releasing SU14 with this bug. But this is currently the beta for SU14, they've acknowledged this issue and also said it will be fixed in a future beta build (which means not just fixed for the SU14 release but also before that). So let's wait and see. I guess those arguing are not happy about current beta builds still not being fixed. That's fair, but personally the main reasons I stay away from betas with MSFS is because:
a) There is no ability to install/use both the beta and the release versions separately, given the server/client nature of MSFS
b) I've been around in software development long enough to know that *nothing* is certain in betas, and the most frustrating new bugs and/or regressions can always pop up (like this one), and some take a non-trivial time to solve, and that is all completely possible in a beta 🙂

Same here. Never had CTD when zooming map with SU14 beta or with SU13. And I have a 1Gbps connection.

I had it once or twice with the first SU14b release, since then map zooming seems to be fine.
