iniBuilds went from 5 scenery developers to 27 during MSFS

Featured Replies

So I have been curious about how iniBuilds sales have been doing in MSFS.  As you may know, iniBuilds primarily develops for MSFS now, with most of their newly announced projects for MSFS these days. I didn't see anything about how have iniBuild's sales been doing in MSFS and I am curious to know how they are doing, especially the sales of their A300 for MSFS. But I did see this interesting reveal by their CEO UBaid, on how their scenery team has expanded from 5 people to 27 people, over the course of their scenery releases for MSFS:

Quote

We started our scenery division, with only 5 team members and currently have 27 fantastic developers all working hard on some fantastic projects for you all including JFK!

That's a pretty significant expansion. From 5 team members, to 27 team members, for their scenery division.  I guess iniBuilds scenery are selling well enough in MSFS for them to expand their scenery team by a factor of over 5 times. Now if the would reveal how the sales of their A300 went for MSFS, I would be very interested to know how well it sold.

Certainly explains how they are cranking out content so quickly!

A great sign of the health of our hobby.

Fascinating how they started from doing GSX profiles back in P3D to do this. Achievements at its best

Hehe....I know how easy this can turn into a "we need XXXX airport" thread....which shows we're hungry to get ALL major international airports in the sim.  Heck...in reality, a case could be made for all airports, from a grass strip to KATL (or DFW as I'm not hating the bespoke KTAL in the sim).

US Airports seem to always get the linelight, but @F737MAX lists some dingers in there too.  EHAM was sure a delight to get as the last major...but we know there are so many more.

Let's hope all the great scenery devs at least compare notes so we don't get 3 CYULs at the same time, again, hehe.

That's cool but their sceneries are poorly optimized and they need to focus on optimization.

Haven't really had a chance to get familiar with her...completely focused on a larger, non-Airbus aircraft at the moment. 😉

One of the higher up’s at iniBuilds said in Discord a month or so ago now that they will not be doing KATL (or KMIA) due to the ortho in the area. I can see MIA but am baffled by their stance on KATL. The city is far enough to the north so not sure why they said that and tbh, it stinks to high heaven that a few years into MSFS and all we have is that junk from Imaginesim or the default. I actively avoid KATL even though it’s one of my favorites due to nothingburger scenery for it.

Yes, makes no sense we can only hope Flight beam, and or maybe MK will take on ATL. I do as well I will not purchase Imagine Sim as the performance was horrendous in P3D.

Just hope they optimize KJFK, it's a frame rate killer like no other...
