I'm kind of concerned that IF this WASM change has broken payware aircraft on XB that such a big issue wasn't detected during internal testing.

I understand that MS is used to being able to handwave and say how third party tools interact with their system is entirely the third parties problem but that argument goes entirely out the window when they start selling that third party content directly themselves.

Once that happens MS have a responsibility to understand how the changes the make interact with the content they sell.

These are not the notes for the entire SU15 update. Good lord.

Am I dealing with children or serious people???? - I KNOW PERFECTLY THAT THIS IS NOT THE FULL LIST OF SU15 CHANGES - I only mean the poor changes in this next beta version after a break of several weeks.....

GOOD LORD 😄

LOL, who's the one nagging like a little child using excessive words and caps lock to express frustrations about a game? 🤣 Don't worry, keep the blue side up, all will be great in the end 😘

Just did a first impression video which left me speechless. Absolutely amazing, highly recommended! I’ll post the video here once I finish editing and uploading. Wow… 🤩

So after a 2 month delay, we still have no FSR3 but a new Beta patch which breaks everything 😡

thought I was the only one.... 🙂

In my test scenario ( CPU limited ) lost 5 fps with the Fenix ( did several runs compared with previous beta build )

That's a very small change log considering the additional delay to the release, but I can't really see how they can fit in more changes  unless they want to push the release back further or let loose a bunch of changes without any beta testing (and we've seen how well that goes)

EXACTLY my thoughts....

FSR 3.0 was released 7 months ago.

Many titles already support FSR 3. Not least of all Farm Simulator!

But somehow Flight Sim with 12 million users and hundreds of Devs and backing from a 3 trillion dollar company, including all the AI and code generator tools, does not have a patch out for FSR 3, and notably, won't for another year, is frankly such a joke!

Because they’re focusing on 2024. It will have FSR3

I uses a mod FSR2toFSR3 gives TAA scalable and FG I am ok, however I think all these updates are more xbox focussed.

FG would have given MSFS on PC the biggest leap ( airbus driver) in FPs.

DX12 libraries were released in 2015 by Microsoft and DX12 is still beta in MSFS, with texture bugs in airports.

Don't hold your breath, maybe we will see DX12 and FSR 3 frame gen in FS2024. Maybe.

Not sure why you're bringing this up again. I want FSR3 as much as the next person, but FSR3 adoption in general has been lackluster amongst common place games, worse so some games that did implement it, did so incorrectly so you're seeing little to no benefit. MSFS is no exception.

They already said FSR3 will be in 2024...

I said it before and I'll say it again; I find it mildly amusing and ironic, a simulator called MICROSOFT Flight Simulator has a woeful implementation of DirectX 12... The DirectX that is made by Microsoft themselves.

[MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

Finished the first flight on the latest beta - Black Square's King Air from Ecuador to Columbia. No issues, which in a way is to be expected as there's not many significant changes.

This beta process might be the longest one so far in the almost 4 yr history of MSFS... For those of you waiting for the release (do we have a certain release date yet?), I'd recommend entering the beta. For me, the sim has never been as stable. In fact, I only had CTDs on the first or second iteration (back in February IIRC). Performance is excellent, and I don't think there's much of a risk at this stage joining the beta.

The process is very simple:

  • get the Xbox Insider app from the Microsoft Store
  • join the beta
  • let the Xbox app update the sim
  • launch the sim and it will require a download of a few GBs

Although I'm quite sure nothing bad will happen, it's probably a good idea to make a backup copy of the Community and Official folders.
