Looks pretty cool...aside from the "taxi to the active" and "taxi to assigned parking" and almost "Tenerife 2.0" Were those premium voices?

    You guys must have all missed the part where the dev put it to a vote and the majority asked them to release early. Several of us said yes, release early but just be prepared for the dogpile of people

Tldr:

- AI traffic in July or latest August for the support edition users!

- Flights will be non-live, but real flights with real times, therefore adapting to the in-sim time (busy time = busy traffic as in real life)

This will be a game-changer.

What is the "support edition"?

Means you have paid the extra for access to beta features - you can upgrade in app if you only have the standard edition. Ultimately all features will come to standard.... as far as I understand.

**Major Update 1.1.2.EA**

```- Added new taxi map feature! Taxi map shows taxiways, gates/ramps/cargo parking as well as traffic (when implemented) in addition to the currently assigned taxi route. When assigned a taxi route, you can now open the map to see what BATC is expecting you to do.
The taxi map data comes straight from the sim. It is not cached, and is not pulled from any other data source than what is live in your simulator. For example, if you load in a default airport and look at the map it will look one way. If you then exited, downloaded a new 3rd party scenery and loaded back into the sim and opened the map again, the map will be updated with the new information coming from the simulator.
This data is therefore "live." If something looks wrong or out of place to what you would expect to see, this is because the map is showing what the data looks like in the sim; what BATC "sees". We can use this to help identify bugs and issues with scenery where bad data is misrepresenting the airport you're at.
Please understand that if you see something wrong, this should be reported to the scenery developer, not BATC - we are simply showing you what data the sim is giving us. The map is a 1:1 representation of sim data.
All gates and ramp numbers are from the sim as well. If you request a gate/ramp number from the map upon contacting ground after landing, this is the spot it will send you to.
Enjoy!```
They did say that, yes. I think they might add live traffic later on, when all has stabilized. It's technically the same, whether one is importing past flights or live flights via FR24. Costs might be different though.
I don't think they will ever add live traffic because live traffic is controlled by live ATC. So there is always  a conflict with their ATC. You cannot have two captains on a ship you know.
Live traffic as in live schedules, I meant. Like FSLTL does.
For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
I hope they do. I found there reasoning for not doing so at the moment unconvincing.
I actual find the opposite 😉logical thing to do.
Real life traffic is nice if you have the opportunity to have a flight in the sim at the same time and place where there is traffic..
But since we can start at any place and any time in the world, then it makes sense to have real world historic flights 😉
Basically you need both at the same time. Fixed schedules based on a specific week and and the real live schedule.
This is a viewpoint I never considered!
So when you are landing at LAX in peak hours and the IRL ATC have spaced out for maximum efficiency. Where should a sim-flight be placed in this, and what will happen with the spacing in all the flights behind you?
Live Schedule does not mean Live Traffic. It just means that the scheduled flights leave the gate at the right time. You will tweak this anyway to your liking, wether you really want 100% coverage or just 75% or less.
