I was kinda shocked at what I read over in the official forums SU15 delay thread.  People were really behaving poorly.

Sadly, I'm not. The entitlement of 'gamers' and the lack of significant consequences for being a keyboard warrior mean people say things that they wouldn't in person, lest they receive a punch in the mouth.

Though, you could easily call millions of MSFS flight simmers 'fan boys and girls', myself included, seeing as we're still playing MSFS nearly 4 years later.

I'm a word not allowed of MSFS and proud of it, I bore work colleagues with my flight details as though I'm a real pilot "yeah I flew over Tuscany late last night, there was a violent storm to the East and I had to land in a crosswind of 16mph but I buttered it in my C152"

Anyway, pointless yootoob videos are just that, pointless. They'll always have their sheep hanging onto every word they say, it's like a cult of sorts, get your followers, talk endless rubbish and eventually the dumb sheep don't think for themselves. Better off ignored.

I can't remember the last time I got more than a few seconds in to any MSFS-related youtoob video. Even if the material looks potentially interesting I can't take the stoopidity and look-at-me levels of the presenter most times. Vary rare to find anything actually beneficial on there. Not saying it doesn't happen, just that most of the time I don't find it worth the effort.

There are a couple of videos showing technique made by real world pilots but apart from that why on earth would anyone sit through the tendentious blather of some persona idiota explaining his incoherent opinions? Isn’t that what forums are for? 😉

Most youtubers are not so much interested in bringing quality news. Their channel growth, views, viewer interactions, likes and adds make them tick.

The videos that really annoy me are the ones where the pilot in the video has to insert his picture in the lower left of the screen so we can see what a great pilot he is. Give me a break.

Self-indulgence is always a part of entitlement!

Jonathan Beckett, Into the Blue, cgaviator, KurtVW Sims and such, Belatu42, IslandSimPilot and Flights with Joel are all pretty much common-sense, low-key YT content creators (actually better described as "channel owners" since content creator sounds too much like an Instagram Influencer) who seem to either have practical real-world experience or at least a healthy appreciation for the realities of aviation to be worth listening to.   At least I don't mind tuning in to dig their rap.  Always learn a thing or two. There's no hype or click-baitiness to what they're doing.  And they rarely show their faces unless there's a good reason.

Those guys with the cameras trained on themselves in their gaming chairs and big microphones... I don't get who would want to watch that. I click the "back" button before they're even halfway through with the  inevitable "Hey Guys!! ..." intro phrase.

Personally, I've found a few Youtube reviewers very informative - for example 'Into The Blue Simulations' for in-depth examinations of add-on aircraft, and Mark at SimHanger for hardware and utilities. CGAviator is good too, especially with JF's BAe Hawk and the new Tornado, because he flew them in real life. There are others too.

The man under discussion is a waste of time, however.
