SU 15 postponed again?

Featured Replies

No more DX12 Tile issues for me in my Home airport of KPDX where it was bad before even on the first SU15 Beta.

The elephant in the room is the single development branch for both pc and Xbox.
Xbox is a walled garden. There are no sliders. The only graphics setting is a single button for HDR.

Sure for Xbox.  Is it correct to say PC already has access to higher settings than are hard-coded into Xbox's runtime of MSFS, or do Xbox users already see the best settings people with PC can access?

Xbox is holding PC users back...

In the PC realm we have sliders covering a range of variables as we all know, and set up in MSFS.   Does that not exist for Xbox users, or do they see the same set of settings?  I see no reason why the RANGE of those variables is fixed, based on Xbox hardware.  Can you give an example, even a hypothetical one, to illustrate how Xbox is holding PC users back?

Cheers mate.

Sounds promising.  I run FG in DX12 (not on the beta as I run community events) and will be great to get some of that bleed through fixed.

Haha, I’m beginning to think that the only way I will ever get to see SU15 is to join the beta. 🤣

Nice that some are experiencing better performance in this beta cycle, but having done benchmarks in a previous cycle where people claimed the same I saw zero improvement and if anything a slight loss compared to public default SU14 release.

Not forgetting SU14 was a big performance downgrade, so again, it's all well and good getting excited - but is the performance back to Pre-SU14 levels? That's the real question here and one I'm waiting on for the full SU15 release to find out.

Console and PC are on separate branches. They’d have to be since PC has more options than console

uh no, it works like this..in the source code you can set flags like, when on pc do this, set these paqrams ..etc, and when on xbox s do that and when on xbox x do that..

so yes it is one big source, with seperate parts, variables, sections(can be many)  for the specified platform.

a bit of a shame non informed people confusing the issue.
