I'm not totally sure where this information comes from, but that is not accurate. At the core is, the sim does not support hot swapping avionics. We have advised developers against utilizing hot

  • I'd say FlySimWare Cessna 414 if it can't be the Duke.

I further customized it with my own private livery Red.

I logged almost 900 hours between FSX, FSX SE, and P3D in the RealAir Turbine Duke, version 2.  My acronim here for it was the TDv2.  Saved a lot of typing keystrokes in posts.  😅  I term this one as the BkSqTD.  It rocks!

Thanks i just might jumb in then 🙂 . Hard when so many wants to be wannebees here.

I lately just found the wisdom using a GA aircraft like the Comanche from A2A in MSFS. Big differents from P3D but i now nail it pretty well as long as i adjust trim right down to t-down .

From here on out, no more sunsets.

Well, that didn't age well.

Little did I realize that unexpected events would conspire to prevent me from flying for six weeks - and while my Duke was parked in Tromsø, the last day of midnight sun passed on July 25.

But civil twilight still currently lasts from sunset to sunrise, so as far as aviation is concerned, it's daytime around the clock.

And I've finally made it back into the cockpit for the next leg of my tour of Norway, Tromsø ENTC to Honningsvåg, ENHV via the North Cape:

Great post and beautiful pictures. I should do a twilight flight around Honningsvåg before August 18 😊

After losing so much time, I wasn't going to let the Duke sit in Honningsvåg for very long.

On to Svalbard, where I reunited with the midnight sun:

Nice trip and screenshots!  Was in interest looking for screenshot of panel showing the cabin temperature.  I have still not gained consistency in how to control it effectively.  I know where the controls are.  Just still searching for technique and timing on effective adjustments from ground to cruise altitude.  Starting off in static Duke, C&D, in USA summer.  Cockpit on battery power up is anywhere from 98°F to 115°F.

Anyone provide some guidence?

The target temperature for "auto cool" and "auto heat" is ~70°F while "manual cool" and "manual heat" will provide the maximum amount of cooling/heating available. If you are on the ground and it is very hot, first start the right engine, which must not run below 1200 rpm for the AC to work, set the mode selector switch to auto or manual cool (a condenser scoop opens on top of the right cowling) and set the vent blower switch to "high". As soon as you are climbing and and passing 70°F OAT, you can now switch to "auto heat" to maintain a cabin temperature of 70°F. Take a look at the "Cabin" tab on the tablet to visualize this process. Starting on page 62 of the manual, you will also find very detailed information on the environmental simulation and controls.

Forgive me if this has been asked elsewhere in the thread, but I haven't read every post. Although I like the Duke a lot, at least when it was produced by RealAir for P3d, can anyone give me their opinion of a fair comparison between the Black Square version in MS compared with the RealAir version in P3d, in relation to the flight dynamics, without taking the comparison too literally, I mean, have they done as good a job on the FDE as A2A has on the Comanche for example?
